“WHITEGOLD represents the pinnacle of high end allmountain snowboarding. Researched and Developed in Whistler BC and hand made in Austria with only the best materials we can get our hands on, to give you a next level snowboarding experience. The WHITEGOLD line is focused on allmountain snowboarding because at WHITEGOLD we believe in riding the whole mountain with one board that works everywhere.

Kevin Sansalone Whitegold Snowboards

Every Whitegold board is designed to perform over the whole mountain. Each board has unique features that result in its peak performance being on certain terrain, but we only make boards that ride everything. This is possible thanks to

3BT and the versatility that these base shapes produce. We use only the best materials for construction and combine those with ingenious design features, resulting in top end, high performance, all mountain snowboards.

NORTH

SHAKA

FLYER

PROTO

The FLYER handles all kind of terrain and takes apart the whole mountain, including the park.

The NORTH is a true all mountain dream machine that will handle any terrain, any kind of snow and any amount of it.

This board is based on a FREESTYLE 3BT shape, which is our most all round twin 3BT shape. The nose and tail 3BT are symmetrical, making this board the most freestyle orientated in the WG range.

The North is based on a FREERIDE 3BT shape combined with a slightly tapered, directional outline. This board is made for full throttle snowboarding on any slope, from groomers to big open faces. It carves like a dream and rips in the backcountry. It features extra 3BT sidebase uplift on the nose to enhance float and less sidebase uplift on the tail to put a gas pedal under your backfoot for powering through the gnarliest lines.

In this board we combine a twin contact shape with a slightly directional outline because a slightly longer nose gives better powder float, without sacrificing switch performance. The Flyer is made to combine lightning fast edge-to-edge transfers with a stable landing platform, all wrapped up into a true all mountain freestyle package.

The SHAKA is our powder surfer. It will make you float through the deepest days like nothing you have experienced before. The Shaka is build around POW 3BT. On the nose, the sidebases have 3BT cranked to the max to give you the best float imaginable. The tail is short, with a cut down shape that gives ultimate maneuverability and helps throw serious spray into the air. What perhaps is the most amazing thing about this board is that it still rips on the groomers and gives a great fun ride!

This years Proto features a new 3BT idea: TWIN POW 3BT: Maxed out 3BT to the max on both ends of the board. We chose a shorter, wider outline to allow the same float on a shorter board. This opens up all new lines and possibilities all over the mountain and adds great performance wherever tighter turns are needed. We are very curious to find out how stoked you are on this idea so we invite you to push it further with us. For this we started a new project within WHITEGOLD which is called +U. You can join in and give us your feedback and ideas for improvements, joining the development crew!

FLYER If you are looking for a special board that handles all kind of terrain and takes apart the whole mountain, including the park, then look no further... The FLYER is meant for all kinds of snowboarding and riders of all ability levels. It doesn’t matter whether you cruise park and groomers with your buddies or take on big mountain riding and fearsome backcountry kickers, the FLYER can tackle it all! To achieve this, we gave the FLYER a twin snow contact shape together and a slightly directional outline. A twin contact shape with centered stance makes switch riding identical to forwards and is great for park and backcountry freestyle. However, the nose of the FLYER is slightly longer than its tail, with the extra length added to the region that is out of the snow during normal riding (the very tip). This helps powder float without sacrificing any freestyle potential. The FLYER has a mid flex and is super responsive. It charges at high speeds and provides very stable landings without losing its forgiving and playful nature. If you always aim for powder when it is around, but are happy to ride the rest of the hill when it is not then this is one board for riding everything: From park and groomers to backcountry kickers and open faces.

NORTH The NORTH is a true allmountain dream machine that will handle any terrain and any kind of snow depth. The NORTH is directional in both contact and outline shapes, though not so much that it will not perform switch. While it is just fine for cruising with friends, this board really comes into its’ own when you open the throttle once things have got deeper, steeper and more full on. The 3BT is set back in line with the stance and features a larger sidebase upturn on the nose. As well as superior float, the accentuated nose 3BT makes crashing through tracked out powder effortless by putting more weight automatically over your back foot. The whole design and construction is aimed at delivering the ultimate backcountry tool. So if fast and deep is you kind of thing but you demand the kind of versatility that only 3BT can provide, then the NORTH is the ultimate choice and is the board that keeps on giving!

NORTH 158

BASE

FREERIDE 3BT is designed for responsive turning and great powder float. A narrow center base flat section gives excellent agility in resort. The sidebases are set back with the stance to keep control between your feet. Longer nose sections with higher upturn make the nose practically unsinkable. Shorter tail sidebases with less 3BT uplift make powering out of turns easy and puts up huge sprays.

We use solid A-grade hardened and tempered German Steel edges.

CORE

Triangular Carbon Stringers are placed in the nose and tail section under the wood core to enhance the top. It also makes the board torsionally reactive in the nose- and tail section while keeping it soft between the bindings

We run a 23mm Bamboo stringer through the center of the core making the board splittable through the natural self sealing properties of Bamboo.

SHAKA The Shaka is a dedicated powder surfer, although it is actually great fun to ride in resort. Fully directional in every design element, the Shaka gives an amazing ride on any backcountry terrain, from the tightest trees to the steepest faces, making powder riding less effort and more enjoyable. The wide spoon nose features the widest 3BT sidebases with the largest total upturn and is practically unsinkable. Being fully directional, the tail can be cut down and shaped so as to allow tight turns, while throwing up huge powder clouds. The short tail allows the Shaka to be ridden a good 8 – 10 cms shorter than a regular powder board, without losing any float and guarantees amazing performance whenever fast, tight turns are the order of the day. Enjoy your best ever powder day on a Shaka!

SHAKA 153 BASE

POW 3BT is the ultimate powder shape! The nose sidebases have our maximum uplift angles for effortless float and are set back with the stance to keep control between your feet. The tail 3BT sections are shorter, flatter and slightly tapered and work with the cut down tail for weight neutral riding in the deepest snow and to put up the most possible snow on each turn!

We use solid A-grade hardened and tempered German Steel edges.

The Proto XIV/XV has been inspired by the SHAKA, but the idea was to be make it more like a powder skater than a powder surfer so it has a true twin shape and a shorter overall length, plus a wider waist to keep the surface area the same. It had to perform in powder, both forwards and switch. For this we developed a new 3BT flavor: TWINPOW 3BT This 3BT shape is a twin version of the POW 3BT that you find on the SHAKA. This shape was created to give supreme powder float in a shorter wider package both forwards and switch. It also gives the board a uniquely relaxed and playful feeling for resort riding, being super forgiving for turning, buttering and flatland tricks thanks to a super loose feeling on the tail. You can ride the Proto XIV/XV shorter than your normal allmountain/powder board making it great for tight turns, tree runs and a more freestyle approach to powder riding. The sidewalls are built from a new spaceage material: RUBBERCORK which is a high density rubberized cork. This is very impact resistant, waterproof, and marries flexibility with poppy return as well as vibration dampening and assistance with an even power distribution along the full contact edge. The combination of the TWINPOW 3BT and the shorter wider outline finished of with super high end ingredients make this unlike any board you rode before.

We invite you to push it further with us. For this we started a new project within WHITEGOLD called + U. The Proto +U board range is intended to be a test bed for new shapes, technologies and ideas in all mountain snowboard design. Each year our prototype board which contains all our latest ideas on board design is available in one size only, chosen to be the intended length for the average height and weight user. Owners can become involved in the research and development process if they wish by providing feedback on the performance of their +U Prototype board under our new +U program. In return, they will receive a discount voucher for the next version of any board they are involved with.
