Lotus Racing is the performance and competition arm of Lotus Cars Limited, developing products that offer maximum performance whilst retaining lightweight and minimalist design wherever possible.

We are currently developing a Cup R version of the Elise S3. Below are just a few of the components that will form a part of the specification. Keep an eye out for further news of this, coming soon to a race track near you.

Power upgrade - a revised exhaust system, including manifolds, downpipe and silencer, and high flow air filter with carbon fibre intake tube helps to speed the air flow through the engine. This is then controlled using a revised engine calibration that has been optimised for torque characteristics as well as power to provide an even greater performance to the Exige V6. Superlight forged wheels - machined from a forged Aluminium billet these wheels have been designed to save as much unsprung mass as possible for their size, aiding in performance whilst also looking stylish. Adjustable anti roll bars, front and rear - designs are in progress to provide even greater adjustability to the Lotus Exige V6 suspension system. A stiffer, adjustable anti-roll bar will assist in keeping the tyre contact patch where it should be, in contact with the tarmac, providing even greater cornering ability. High camber rear wishbones - with more and more drivers pushing our cars to the limit it has been tested to find that increasing the rear camber in a track situation can prolong tyre life and improve cornering characteristics. Uprated suspension bushes - the suspension compliance within a Lotus is already minimal but to get that extra feel whilst driving and to help maintain a constant wheel alignment Lotus Racing are working on new suspension bushes that will aid cornering and driver feel. Uprated engine mounts - these will provide greater stability for track use by reducing engine movement and thus improving the stability of the vehicle during cornering.

The Xtrac gearbox has proven itself in the harshest of 24H Endurance races to be not only reliable but capable of winning at the highest levels. Completely integrated into the vehicle there are no signs that this is an aftersales product with the professional installation. The paddles are moulded and steering column mounted, new moulded covers surround these to ensure a seamless result. Wide Wheel Arch Body Kit with Forged Centre Lock Wheels
This kit widens the overall track of the Evora by an extra 100mm. This permits the use of a 10J x 18 front wheel and a 12J x 18 rear wheel. This in turn allows for wider tyres (tyres not included) and a greater tyre contact patch resulting in higher g-forces when cornering. Large reductions in lap times can be expected from this upgrade.

The chassis kit focuses on improving the handling of the Lotus chassis with the inclusion of motorsport specification wishbones and high performance dampers with rebound and compression adjustment, fitted with stiffer springs. Added to the package are increased stiffness anti-roll bars and black or silver 18” GT4 cast aluminium alloy rims.
Comprising of all 8 wishbones these are fitted with high specification cross-axis joints as opposed to OEM silent blocks, and allow improved stiffness, reduced friction and increased camber adjustment on the front compared to standard wishbones.

Further developments include a baffled wet sump and direct replacement of the gear cables to the latest specification.

Lotus Racing SERVICES PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP Lotus Racing can call upon many years of experience in preparing, building and racing many variants of older and current Lotus models. Our highly skilled technicians can offer a range of options for your road or race car including routine servicing, maintenance, historic rebuilds, accident repairs, performance upgrades and race car preparation. Road Car Servicing and Maintenance Servicing for all current and previous models is available. More complex work can also be carried out as Lotus Racing has extensive knowledge and experience to draw upon, while having full access to all on-site expertise and facilities. Our technicians can also carry out a full chassis set-up using our wheel alignment facility, ensuring you are getting the best of your Lotus’ handling. Suggested set-ups for your style of driving and vehicle usage can also be completed. Historic Rebuilds The Lotus Racing workshop is able to carry out full restorations of historic Lotus’ and previous examples of this include numerous Esprit’s and Elan’s. The vehicle can be in any state ranging from complete to part restoration. Accident Repairs All forms of accident repair can also be carried out, from minor bodywork to full suspension and chassis damage.
Lotus Racing SERVICES RACE CAR PREPARATION Race Car Preparation The Lotus Racing workshop specialises in the fitting of performance parts and upgrades. Any of the products listed in this catalogue can be fitted by us, as well as offering a complete vehicle set-up using our wheel alignment facility including corner weights and damper/spring selection. Race Car Engineering Lotus Racing has a skilled set of engineers that can provide advice or quotations for proposed work to ensure your car meets current regulations. This can include upgrades if wishing to switch series’ or your vehicle may need updating to meet FIA or Lotus Cup regulations.

The Lotus race cars are intended for use on private property tracks only and are not suitable for use on the public highways. Their use on the public highway may constitute a criminal offence. Use of any vehicle on track or in a competitive manner requires appropriate levels of expert vehicle preparation and servicing. Distributors and dealerships are not agents of Lotus and have absolutely no authority to bind Lotus by any express or implied undertaking or representation. Purchaser’s statutory rights are not affected.
