One of Longwood’s most magnificent highlights is the Waterlily Display, located in the courtyard of the Main Conservatory. For this unique evening session, join Longwood’s waterlily experts for an introduction to the waterlily display. The culture, care, and maintenance of aquatic plants, water gardens, and marginal plantings will be discussed. Enjoy the early evening around the waterlily pools, adjourn for a unique dinner experience, and reconvene outside as the night-blooming lilies are beginning to open. Join us to be informed, enchanted, and well fed—an unbeatable combination! Inclement Weather Date September 18

Calling all plant lovers! Join us for a special tour as we visit the U.S. Botanic Garden and its production facility in Washington, DC. The first stop is the Botanic Garden’s Production Facility, where we will take a “behind-the-scenes” tour of this remarkable complex, not usually open to the public. It is the largest greenhouse complex supporting a public garden in the United States! The tour continues as we travel to the U.S. Botanic Garden, where small guided tours will be available for a more indepth and personalized look at our national garden and conservatory. There will also be time for you to explore on your own or visit the Mall and U.S. Capitol, before departing for Longwood. This is an extensive walking tour, please wear comfortable shoes. Lunch will be on your own, with several eateries available on the Mall. Trip leaves promptly as listed and runs rain or shine.
