growing problem of hunger were identified and analyzed. The citizens never failed to „keep it real‟ for the program staffers and administrators on the committees. And finally, much credit is due to the Board of County Commissioners and the Alachua County Department of Community Support Services, which authorized the county‟s Poverty Reduction Program to devote staff time, materials and financial support to the overall process, beginning with the Hunger Summit I in September, 2008, through the Hunger Summit II in June, 2009, and beyond.
