Associate of Applied Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology The medical laboratory technician works in a supportive role in a hospital, private or research laboratory, clinic or public health facility, industrial or pharmaceutical laboratory performing a wide variety of complex biochem ical, bacteriological, serological , hematological and other diagnostic tests. Assisting the medical technologist, pathologist or other physician, the medical laboratory technician makes it possible to meet the increasing demand for clinical laboratory tests from physicians, medical researchers and pharmaceutical firms.
