One man and one woman only, based on their fundraising efforts, will be announced as the Man and Woman of the Year. Starting with a kickoff celebration in March, these local leaders were off to a great start. Their efforts will be recognized at the Journey of Hope Gala, including a cocktail reception, dinner, dance and auction taking place on Saturday, June 2nd at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. All of the funds raised by these community leaders will honor two very special people, the 2012 Girl and Boy of the Year. Eight-yearold Hailey and thirteen-year-old CJ are both leukemia survivors. Those funds raised will be used for lifesaving blood cancer research, financial assistance, transportation, medication and testing as well as free educational materials, program and
