Este complejo residencial se ha proyectado teniendo en cuenta el entorno y sus elementos de singularidad, siguiendo los principios con los que este genial arquitecto realiza sobre sus obras. Nouvel deseaba incorporar la belleza natural del paisaje ibicenco por medio de un juego de interrelación con el mar Mediterráneo. Así pues, ambos edificios se elevarán sobre un espejo de agua que dará frescor y continuidad al litoral balear. Además, una cascada de agua presidirá la fachada de las viviendas que lindan con el Paseo Marítimo, elemento que lo dotará de una gran espectacularidad. “En este proyecto el agua que penetra en medio de los edificios es un elemento fundamental, ya que proporciona frescor y, a la vez, ofrece el placer. de bañarse”, señala Nouvel. “Es un inmueble concebido exactamente como un teatro, la escena es el puerto y la ciudadela el decorado.- añade Nouvel- Esta estructura permite que todos los apartamentos tengan vista directa sobre el mar”.
This residential complex has been designed bearing in mind the environment and its unique elements, following the principles whereby this ingenious architect carries out his works. Nouvel wished to incorporate the natural beauty of the Ibiza landscape by means of an interplay with the Mediterranean. In this way both buildings will emerge on a water mirror which shall provide freshness and continuity to the Balearic coastline. Furthermore, a waterfall shall dominate the façade of the houses adjoining the Promenade, an element which will make it particularly spectacular. “In this project the water which penetrates the buildings is a vital element as it affords freshness and, concurrently, provides the pleasure of taking a dip”, indicates Nouvel. “It is a property designed just like a theatre, the stage is the port and the citadel the decor - adds Nouvel-. This structure allows all the apartments to have a direct view over the sea”.
