STEP 1 Obtain your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and complete your Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Liberty’s FAFSA school code is 010392.

STEP 2 Apply for outside scholarships and grants, such as the Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant, Work Study or Corporate Tuition Assistance. Visit Liberty’s financial aid website, www.liberty.edu/steps, for information on these scholarships and grants.

STEP 3 Check your ASIST account and submit any required documents. To log into ASIST, go to www.liberty.edu and click on “Student Login.”

STEP 4 Review and apply for educational loans at www.liberty.edu/direct.

STEP 5 Check the status of financial aid and your student account through ASIST.

STEP 6 Access ASIST and complete Financial Check-In. This step is where you will update your student information, pay any account balance and, if necessary, choose a payment option.

Student Sample: David has a 3.8 GPA at the Virginia High School he attends, and scored a 1350 on the SAT. Due to the three factors highlighted above, he is eligible for a $2,750 Liberty Academic Scholarship and a $500 Virginia Scholarship. He applied to Liberty University’s Honors Program and was accepted, so he will receive an additional $1,875 Honors Program Scholarship. He will also receive a $500 Early Deposit Award, because he submitted his Confirmation Deposit early in the year, and a $500 Liberty Champion Scholarship for completing the enrollment process. If his pastor or a Liberty alumnus fills out a Pastor/ Alumni scholarship certificate for him, he will receive this $250 scholarship as well. He will also receive $1,325 in VTAG since he submitted his application before July 31st.
