Internships

Through an internship position, you can try out a career that interests you and apply the things you’ve learned in class to a professional setting. Internships look great on a résumé because employers want to hire people with actual work experience.

More than 60 percent of LVC students complete a professional internship, student teaching, or field/ clinical experience.

Here are a few of the internships our students have held in recent years: designing window displays for Anthropologie researching new applications for existing drugs at Penn State University College of Medicine archiving historical materials for the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission

life-changing experiences Your world is about to get a lot bigger. Soon, you’ll have the chance to live and study in another country, join a professor in the laboratory, or try a career through an internship.

Research

Because LVC’s professors are also scientists and scholars, they need help collecting data, running their experiments, and researching their books and articles.

Assisting professors with research builds valuable skills and experience. At large universities, these opportunities usually go to graduate students. At LVC, they go to you.
