ANACLETA PRING-VALDEZ, RMT, MD, MHA, FPSP Based in Batangas City, Dr. Anacleta Pring-Valdez obtained her doctor of medicine at the University of Santo Tomas and took her postgraduate residency training in Clininal Pathology in the Philippine Orthopedic Center. Currently she serves as head of the Department of Pathology of Mary Mediatrix Medical Center and department head of the Blood Bank Center of Daniel Mercado Medical Center. Her expertise is well shared in the academe as she acts as dean of the College of Allied Medical Professions of the Lyceum of the Philippines. As medical practitioner and academician, she has advanced the interest of the field through research works, most of which published in the Journal of Department of Pediatrics UP-PGH. Her involvement in research stretched far as she took stand as research paper presenter, speaker, and facilitator in various conferences in the country and abroad and served as peer reviewer and member of the editorial board of a refereed journal. In recognition for her contributions to research, she was conferred Institutional Research Award during SY 2007-2008 and Achievement Award for Exemplary Performance in Research in 2001 by the university she serves. Several other special awards were given to her for her sterling performance in the field of teaching and laboratory medicine.
