The weather is warming is so is our desire to stretch our legs and explore the local spots around us.

Take a visit nearby and see what you will find. Near our home are wonderful Connecticut Farmlands and Gardens. You can even take a day tour (see Tyrone Gardens segment).

Get out and enjoy your Summer. May is especially a good time to enjoy the Hydrangeas in bloom. We revisit our love of the Azores island of Portugal with the cover photo. Streets were lined with Hydrangeas (our favorite flower).

The region offers much more than Wine. We spent a day in Champagne region and we loved its rolling hill landscape.

Hop the Hotels and just breathe in to relax. In that order.

The warmer weather and its color in bloom are making me think back to a time of Renaissance where fashion and craft met. According to Antique Jewelry University, “The baroque period in art history spans from about 1600 to 1775 and is one of the most versatile amongst the art eras. The name is derived from a Portugese jeweler’s term "barrocco", meaning "irregular formed pearl"…. The early days of what we consider baroque show a large overlap with the renaissance with some very stylistic changes, both subtle and dramatic””.
