LPF MAG: How would you describe your personal style? CB: My personal style? Hmm…I’m a comfort dresser and I obviously wear a ton of Lilly! I love throwing on flats, jeans, a printed Lilly top, and Lilly’s Leighton colored blazer. I also have a weakness for Lilly shirts and my gold Resort Chic wedges (but really, who doesn’t?). LPF MAG: What is your favorite thing to design/draw? CB: Animals, without a question. I think, if I wasn’t an artist I would definitely be working in a zoo as an animal behaviorist or something crazy. There’s just something about animals that fascinates me, and I can’t help but incorporate that into my work! LPF MAG: What’s your favorite thing about working at Lilly Pulitzer? CB: Everything!!! I genuinely think I have the best job in the world. The people here are some of the nicest, funniest people you will ever meet. I do love that I get to travel. The print team loves to “Lillyfy” our stores which requires a lot of painting on walls, gluing, and framing! It’s so fun, and it’s so nice to see all of the retail stores and meet customers from all over! I also get to travel to stores and live-paint at their events. I love the energy in the stores during events, and being able to see customers trying on, buying, and talking about things I have designed. It’s always an amazing feeling. Not to mention, I get to make art for an amazing brand, it literally could not get better! LPF MAG: What’s your favorite Lilly print? CB: My all time favorite? AH! There are so many good ones…but I think Peel and Eat is my favorite. Since I was a kid I’ve always had a soft spot for flamingos, and the colors are just so beautiful. I always get compliments when I wear my Wyatt dress in this print. LPF MAG: What are your future goals? CB: Right now, I want to soak up everything Lilly has to offer! I’m always searching to learn and improve my artwork and there is so much to learn here, it’s really exciting. However, I am always searching for new creative paths. I love glass etching and making illustrations from cut paper. Someday, I’d love to learn jewelry making and make my own accessories. Is that the long way of saying I think the world is my oyster?
