Shiatsu Therapy Shiatsu Therapy Certificate Program Langara College’s Shiatsu Therapy Certificate Program has been designed to ensure that students are fully prepared to enter the industry with comprehensive training and professional experience. Each of our certificate programs are taught by experts in their fields with extensive knowledge and experience in a wide range of professional environments. Receive professional designation as a Registered Shiatsu Therapist. This non-invasive therapy, stimulates the body’s ability to heal itself. Shiatsu is based on traditional and time honoured healing principles from the East, and modern anatomy and physiology theories. Healing with touch may be the oldest and simplest form of health care. Japanese Shiatsu therapy is an effective touch therapy and becoming a Registered Shiatsu Therapist will enable you to have a positive impact on the lives of others and change your own life path in the process.

Shiatsu, a modern system of manual therapy from Japan, helps restore health and relieve pain by way of pressure to the body’s energy flows and key acupuncture points. It has been called “acupuncture without needles” as it provides many of the same benefits of the more ancient system by way of its simple and yet powerful approach to treatment.

Schedule • September to February (Monday to Friday) • 745 instructional hours (33 to 36 hours per week) • Additional course in First Aid/CPR is required

Admission Requirements • Applicant must be a Grade 12 graduate and be fluent in written and spoken English (Grade 12 English or equivalent) • Acceptance into the program is determined through the admission process and available space • Download application form from www.langara.bc.ca/cs.
