Congratulations Class of 2014! An Open Letter to the Pasco County Class of 2014 Y

ou made it! The day you’ve set your sights on since you entered elementary school has finally arrived. The day some of you may have doubted would ever come is here. The day you worked so hard for, spent so many hours studying to reach — Graduation Day — is upon you. Now what? After you’ve been fitted for your cap and gown, sent out invitations, walked across the stage, and received your diploma, you have the majority of your life to plan for. My hope is that the Pasco County school district has challenged you and given you the knowledge and inspiration to prepare you for college, career, and life, so that you can be successful from graduation day forward. Graduating from high school is a major milestone in your life. Your future will bring you additional milestones, like landing a job, graduating from college, or getting married. My hope for each and every one of you is that you achieve your goals, and that you do so with honor and integrity. It may not always be easy, but if you set your goals and tackle obstacles with determination and dignity, you can be satisfied that you did your best. That’s success. I wish you all success as responsible and productive citizens. Congratulations! Sincerely,

Kurt S. Browning Pasco County Superintendent of Schools
