A Fresh New Look Enhances The Fish Market Del Mar The Fish Market Del Mar completed an interior remodel around mid-July, and longtime fans of the popular restaurant are giving the updated look enthusiastic reviews. “We made a conscious effort to maintain the original Fish Market ambiance, but there is now a brighter, more open feel,” says Dwight Colton, vice president of operations. “Patrons have told us how much they like the additional comfortable booths, the softer color scheme, and the more intimate atmosphere. Of course, we’re still serving the freshest seafood in town. That’s a constant.” Regulars will recognize the familiar black and white fishing photos on the walls. The newly remodeled Fish Market. Gone is the dark brown cork ceiling, replaced with a lighter acoustic material and soft lighting. The main dining area and back room now flow together more easily and can accommodate groups of up to 60. A new conference room is outfitted with a teak dining table for 14, making it an ideal venue for private meetings and parties.
