Go to the company’s website, check them out on LinkedIn™ and/or talk to someone who works there. Find out about where and who they are and what they do. Learn the latest goals, projects, awards, community involvement, and culture of that company as well as the names of their leadership and the vision and mission of those leaders.This knowledge earns you credibility with employers who will be impressed that you know about them. This knowledge alone may get you an interview. 7. Finally, Have Fun! The environment at our UK Employer Showcases is always very fun, festive and energy charged. Employers are there because they want to be. Having a good time will help you make that first impression a good one. It really is possible to relax and enjoy the experience even though you may be concerned about finding a job or internship. So dress up, bring your resumes and plan to have fun! Do you know the do’s and don’ts of formal dining? Attend this interactive workshop to master dining etiquette – a must-have skill for every young professional. The cost is $8 per person, which includes a 3 course meal. This signature event is hosted by the James W. Stuckert Career Center and Beta Alpha Psi and sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
