Kyle Schreiner Guard - Sr. - 6-1 - Lawrence, Kan. (Lawrence Free State)

2009-10: After spending his first two years in a Braves uniform playing with the junior varsity, Schreiner was the only Brave to start and play in all 29 games at the varsity level. He was named co-captain by his tammates. Schreiner averaged 8.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, both career highs. He shot 45 percent from the floor, 34 percent from behind the three point line, and 65 percent from the free throw line. Schreiner was second on the team in assists (48) and led OU with 40 steals. He scored a career high 22 points and was 11-16 from the floor versus Benedictine College (11/24). Schreiner had a career high nine rebounds versus Kansas Wesleyan University (12/10) and eight assists versus Haskell Indian Nations University (11/30). He played a career high 38 minutes versus Bethel College (12/3). Schreiner was voted Most Inspirational Player and Most Valuable Athlete by his teammates. He was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll last spring and earned a Braves Hall of Fame Scholarship this fall. 2008-09: Schreiner participated in three games in his first season on the varsity level. He scored a season high four points and played a season high four minutes versus Bethany College (1/8). 2007-08: Schreiner played on the junior varsity team in his first season. High School: Schreiner earned three letters in basketball and Honorable Mention All-Sunflower honors his junior and senior seasons for Free State High School. At FSHS he played on two sub-state championship teams and helped lead his 2006-07 team to a third place finish at the Kansas 6A State Tournament.
