Welcome Message Dear Colleagues, In the near future we expect to see tremendous progress in the field of robotic surgery and hopefully we will be fortunate enough to be a part of this exciting journey! With this in mind and the participation of expert robotic surgeons from South Eastern Europe and all over the world, we are happy to welcome you in the beautiful city of Limassol, for the 1st SOUTH EASTERN EUROPEAN ROBOTIC SURGERY SOCIETY (SEERSS) International Congress in Robotic Surgery. This congress will cover a wide spectrum of topics related to Robotic Surgery in Europe in the field of General Surgery including Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery and Thyroid Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Gynecology & Gynecologic oncology, ENT Surgery, and Urology. Apart from the current clinical applications, insight to the future of robotics in surgery, robotic training and simulators will be given by experts in the field. Furthermore, there will be “Challenging Cases” and “Works of Experts” presentations and also Free Paper Sessions and Innovative Research – Paper Sessions. In parallel latest technology achievements will be introduced by the leading manufacturers. This congress is meant to bring together all the enthusiasts of Robotic Surgery in the South Eastern Europe and present them with the cutting-edge developments in the field. The expert work presented in this congress, alongside with your active participation and attendance, will hopefully help us all make an important step forward, in improving standards of practice, encouraging research, and disseminating the knowledge in the field of robotic surgery, in the South Eastern Europe. On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 1st SEERSS International Congress in Robotic Surgery allow me to personally welcome you to our Congress and sincerely thank you for joining us to this scientific endeavor. Let us all share our knowledge, spread the benefits of robotic surgery around Europe and elaborate the state-of-the-art in each field of our everyday robotic surgical practice!
