50g Unsalted Butter (softened), 25g Caster sugar, 65g Plain Flour, 10g Corn flour, a pinch Salt, tsp Vanilla Essence Pre-heat the oven to 170 degrees C/ GM 3 1. Beat the butter in a bowl with a wooden spoon until creamy. 2. Gradually beat in the sugar until light and fluffy. 3. Sift the flour with the corn flour and salt, then add to the butter mix. 4. Work all the ingredients together until a dough is formed. 5. Wrap in Clingfilm and chill until firm. 6. Roll out on a floured surface until about 0.5cm thick. 7. Cut out heart shapes from the dough and place them on a greased baking tray. 8. Re-roll the mix and cut up more shapes until all the dough is used up. 9. Place the tray in the oven for 15 minutes until firm but not coloured. 10. Cool on a wire rack and decorate.
