KSFNM 2013 Residency Guide Kennesaw State Festival of New Music Residency Guide February 11 – 15, 2013 Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Center The 2013 Kennesaw State Festival of New Music (KSFNM) celebrates the work of artists creating and performing the music of today. The 2013 festival presents a week full of various residency activities including masterclasses, seminars, demonstrations, and other presentations, in addition to the concerts presented nightly. Each activity will include an appearance by one or more of the festival’s featured composers or artists, each of whom will be in residence throughout the week. Activities like these allow festival participants the rare opportunity to gain insight and perspective on the world of new music directly from the artists creating and performing these works of art. KSFNM 2013 will highlight works by Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award-winner David Lang, featured guest composer of this year’s festival. David will be in residence at KSU for much of the festival and involved in many of the residency activities detailed below. All KSFNM residency activities listed below are free of charge and open to the public. For more information on the festival, please visit the Kennesaw State Festival of New Music website.
