Posted a 3.18 ERA (4er, 11.1ip) in 7 Big 12 games ... Threw 4.2 shutout innings on April 3 vs. Omaha, his longest outing of the season ... Struck out 3 against Omaha, which he followed up with another 3-strikeout performance in his next outing on April 9 vs. Wichita State ... Did not allow an earned run in eight straight outings from April 3May 5 ... Struck out 2 and allowed 2 hits in 1.1 innings pitched on May 5 at Texas, earning the winning decision in K-State’s 9-3 victory over the Longhorns ... 2012 [SOPHOMORE] Saw time in 22 games, including seven midweek starts... Went 2-4 with a 5.21 ERA, allowing 28 earned runs over 48.1 innings with 20 walks and 44 strikeouts... Was better in conference play out of the bullpen when he earned a 1-0 record with a 2.51 ERA, six walks and 19 strikeouts in nine relief appearances... Began the season on a high note at CSU Bakersfield on Feb. 20 when he allowed an unearned run on three hits with four strikeouts in 4.1 innings... Earned his first win of the season when he surrendered a run on three hits with no walks and three strikeouts in a three-inning predetermined pitch count start at Minnesota on March 14... Picked up the win in his next outing at No. 8 Texas A&M on March 16 when he tossed two perfect innings with two strikeouts... Also tossed 1.2 scoreless innings against No. 21 Texas on March 24...
