Shalee Lehning (2005-09) was drafted by the Atlanta Dream in the second round of the 2009 WNBA Draft with the 25th overall selection. Helped the Dream to a franchise record for wins in her firts year.
Laurie Koehn, as a member of the Washington Mystics, defeated Diana Taurasi and Penny Taylor of the Phoenix Mercury to win the Three-Point Shootout at the 2007 WNBA All-Star Game. Koehn connected on 14 straight shots and 18 of her final 19 attempts.
Claire Coggins (2003-07) earned a spot on the 2007 Chicago Sky roster in May, making her the seventh Wildcat to play in the WNBA. Kendra Wecker (2001-05) was selected fourth overall by the San Antonio Silver Stars to become K-State's highest-ever draft pick at the 2005 WNBA Draft held on April 16, 2005, in Secaucus, N.J. She is now a member of the Washington Mystics Megan Mahoney (2001-05) was also drafted in the third round by the Connecticut Sun with the 34th overall pick.
Laurie Koehn (2001-05) went undrafted, but later signed on as a free agent with the Washington Mystics. She captured the WNBA Three-Point Shootout at the 2007 All-Star Game. Two-time All-American Nicole Ohlde (2000-04) was selected sixth overall by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2004 WNBA Draft. She finished third in Rookie of the Year voting and led the Lynx to the WNBA Playoffs with a franchise-tying 18 victories for the season. Ohlde was among a draft class, which included Connecticut's Diana Taurasi and Duke's Alana Beard, tabbed as one of the deepest and most talented classes in WNBA history. Former Wildcats Olga Firsova (1998-00) and Shanele Stires (1993-95) were both drafted in 2000 by the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx, respectively.
