CupsOnMe is an innovative new app that is set to change the way inveterate caffeine-cravers get their kicks around the city. The app has a nifty online map that shows you the location of the nearest coffee outlet, and even lets you make an order and pay for the coffee whilst on the go - so the only thing to do is to stroll in and grab it! CupsOnMe is the brainchild of Berkman Çavuşoğlu who was inspired by the convenience of the YoYo car-sharing app. However, given the current boom in coffee establishments in the city, finding hot beverages seems to be a far more pressing concern than transport for most Istanbulites. The added advanced payment feature whereby you can take your order and go, not only saves you time but also money, as the various chains linked to CupsOnMe try to tempt customers with special offers for users. CupsOnMe is free on Android Google Play and iOS App Store. www.cupson.me

Snowstanbul Our thanks go out to Julius Constantine Motal for sending us this great photo of Istanbul under snow for our online “Snowstanbul” photo competition. According to Julius, when he took the photo he was in the middle of a hectic day running around the Bosphorus University, but he explained that “given how clear the sky was, I wanted to make some landscape photos, and suddenly felt a deep sense of calm upon seeing both sides of the city under the snow”.

Soho House Istanbul opens its doors on March 7 Having already opened establishments in London, New York, Miami, Chicago and Toronto, the über trendy private membership club Soho House has now deemed Istanbul worthy of its presence (before cities like Paris or Milan). Soho House Istanbul is located in the heart of Pera, in the stunning Palazzo Corpi, a 11 000 square feet 19th century Italian-built residence which was beautifully restored with much care given to its valuable wall paintings and ceilings. Unlike other private clubs, at Soho House, wealth and status are not the criteria for membership. Rather, Soho House’s philosophy is to bring together creative souls working in the film, fashion, advertising, music, art and media industries. Founder Nick Jones created Soho House with the idea of offering a space for a community of likeminded creative people to come together and mingle, exchange ideas, discuss business or simply hang out and relax. With its Cecconi‘s restaurant, elegant bar and Embassy club, gym, swimming pools, and private cinema, Soho House will surely feel like a second home for its spoiled members. The palazzo also counts 87 bedrooms for longer stays. For more info on how to become a member and make a reservation for one of Soho House's rooms, visit sohohouseistanbul.com
