The ďŹ nal goal of the project was to create a new basement for this religious monument. The new building completes the monastery with a restaurant and various lounges. The expansion is done in a respectful way and under the laws of the monastery., 2010-2011 THESIS PROJECT Exhibition&Restaurant facilities in an old Monastery 4.000 m2 P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O The most important space in the project is the square that is created behind the apse of the church. Pretend to be a single space, accessible and friendly helpful whit the existing monastery. P O R T F O L I O Claustrum, in latin, is the open space surrounded by covered walks or open galleries, with open arcades on the inner side. The new building reuses this idea, being this one, the main space where all spaces live in. P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O Surrounding a pre-existent monastery, this project proposes a unitarian program that puts one in mind of the old cloister. The ďŹ nal goal of the project was to create a new basement for this religious monument. The new building completes the monastery with a restaurant and various lounges. The expansion is done in a respectful way and under the laws of the monastery., P O R T F O L I O The project develops a new primary school located in a parking location in the historical core of Bilbao near Basurto Genereal hospital. This place is a natural step from the city to the platform created for the hospital. The idea for the project stems from the importance of this place as a binding site, tried to reconcile the school use and the use of the public trails. The result is a building with a broken program but joined at a higher level. The project will also get interesting spaces, as a place usable by the school. Vth year Primary School 5.000 m2 P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O This project puts in order the meander of Huarte, and gives a new public space by the river. The design develops housing in a single core of square blocks. The new river park respects the existing orchards and adapts them to the new community IVth year Urban development in Huarte 200.000 m2 P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O This project puts in order the unfinished quarter of “LaJota” and gives a new public space by the river. A red iconic mixed building divide into two boards that continue with the previous patterns and face to the park. Between boards an open space is left, making the park approach the dwellings and creating public urban squares that lead to the river. Joining those fissures new outfits stand as activity cores half on the park half on the urban pattern. IVth year Urban Border and fluvial park 1.500.000m2 P O R T F O L I O Planning proposals for the river Nature cracks into the city P O R T F O L I O Located on the top of a mountainous valley and right next to the famous sanctuary of ArĂĄnzazu, which hosts the great sculptural programmade by Oteiza, this project aims to create a small community lodge for artists and researchers. The design of the building divides the program of needs into several smaller volumes in order to adapts it better to the scarped plot. All the rooms look through the valley and proďŹ t the breathtaking views. IVth year Residence for artists and researches 5000 m2 P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O Due to the lack of small cheap dwellings in the last years in Spain this project proposes the design of a group of dynamic small apartments in the countrysde. The project ďŹ nds a unique C shaped solution and repeats it creating a ninner private community space that helps relation between neighbours. In the centre of the public space we ďŹ nd the communitarian building and lifts for handicapped. V th year Social Dwellings 2000 m2 P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O The proposal for an architectural ďŹ rm in Pamplona, bases its development in one large central workshop and complete the program offices, archives and library. IIIrd year Architecture Studio 700m2 P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O The goal is a building on a plot of 50mx1000m, with a railway in the south and that runs parallel to the site. The program must develop 1000 houses in it, plus a series of public facilities and commercial areas. The proposal is based on a common internal space, a large street away from the problem of railway. The building, longitudinal, open a series of holes that allow natural light inside sufficient for this purpose. IIIrd year 1000x1000 400.000 m2 P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O Next to the School of Architecture, under a green surface, a buried building appears over the ground only at the light cube acces volume, revealing that something is happening down there. III rd year Detached House for the Eames Family 500m2 P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O Forced to keep the exterior volume of a cilinder of 35 meters of diameter and 50 m of height, the program is solved with the concept of journey, a road that goes by joining the different parts of the building (communal spaces, library, catwalk, exibition hall...), a metaphor for successful work in a school of this type. IIIrd year Fashion school 200.000 m2 P O R T F O L I O P O R T F O L I O Next to the Peine de los Vientos, San Sebastian coast, in an awe-inspiring enviroment, an artiďŹ cial structure leaves the landscape to enjoy the views of the coast as if it was a medieval watchtower. It contains the house of a japanesse art collector.
