Su distancia aproximada de la ciudad de México por carretera es de 350 Km. Su clima es templadohúmedo-regular con una temperatura promedio de 18°C; su precipitación pluvial media anual es de 1,509.1 mm.

Its climate is tropical, with an annual average temperature of 25,3°C; its annual pluvial precipitation average is of 1.500 mm.

mañana soleada que nos obligaba a apurar el paso, buscando la sombra de los árboles del zócalo, nos recibió en el puerto de Veracruz. En las calles nos encontramos con el bullicio de la gente; la marimba resonando, un grupo de música norteña, los mariachis infaltables y el son montuno nos hicieron comprender que estábamos en los famosos portales de Veracruz. Al atardecer sentimos la fresca brisa del mar y fuimos testigos del paso de los famosos bailadores de danzón.
sunny morning that pushed us to hurry up our step, seeking for the shadow of the trees at the “Zocalo” (Main plaza), received us in the port of Veracruz. On the streets we found ourselves with the bustle of the people; the marimba echoing, a group of northern music, the always famous mariachi musicians and the “son montuno” we realized that we where at the famous “Portales of Veracruz”. At sunset we felt the fresh breeze of the sea and we witnessed the step of the famous dancers of danzón.
