New Albany has had a great two-year run, winning 22 games, losing five and finishing 9-1 in Division 2-4A play. One problem these days, the Bulldogs work in the same league as two-time defending state champion Lafayette. “Lafayette’s the team to beat until somebody knocks them off,” New Albany coach Ron Price said. “All of us are reaching to get to their level.” New Albany played the 2010 season in Division 1-4A, winning the championship. The Bulldogs finished second last season to the powerful Commodores after a move to Division 2.
OFFENSE
Spencer Day, who passed for 1,377 yards and 16 TD last season, returns to lead the way at QB. He’ll have all new receivers, however, with the exception of tight end Austin Howard. The wideout candidates are Cassius
