The Red Bulls look to exact immediate revenge when they host the Houston Dynamo on Friday, just a week after falling to the Texans in Houston, 2-0. New York’s loss to Houston dropped them into sole possession of third place in the East with a record of 11-7-5, but the Red Bulls sit just two points shy of both Houston and Sporting Kansas City for the top spot in the East. On May 9, the Dynamo and Red Bulls played at Red Bull Arena, with New York coming out 1-0 winners thanks to Kenny Cooper’s 7th minute goal. Red Bulls Designated Player Tim Cahill made his MLS debut last Friday, starting against the Dynamo and registering two shots.
