Vancouver won 1-0 at Empire Field on Aug. 27, after the Dynamo took a 3-1 win in Houston on Aug. 10.  Coaches record: Dominic Kinnear v VAN: P2 W1 L1 D0 … Martin Rennie vs. HOU: first game VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC Vancouver Whitecaps FC played to a second draw in as many Cascadia Cup matches, coming back for a 1-1 result with the Portland Timbers in their last match, May 26 at Jeld-Wen Field. Whitecaps FC are in a tie for fourth place in the Western Conference with 18 points from 11 games. LAST MATCH  The game had an extended delay during halftime after a thunderstorm moved over the stadium with about 10 minutes left in the first half.  Both goals then came after the break. In the 67th minute, a cross from fullback Jack Jewsbury was punched out by Whitecaps FC goalkeeper Joe Cannon. But Kris Boyd was right there, and with his back to goal hooked the ball past Cannon from close range for the opener.  Vancouver leveled the score in the 84th minute when second-half substitute Darren Mattocks chested down Eric Hassli's header in the box, took a pair of touches to get past a defender and fired a right-footed blast past a diving Troy Perkins.  Whitecaps FC head coach Martin Rennie made two changes to the team that reached a 2-2 draw with Seattle Sounders FC at BC Place. Camilo and John Thorrington came into the team, in place of Darren Mattocks and Omar Salgado.  VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC (4-3-3): Joe Cannon – Lee Young-Pyo, Jay DeMerit, Martin Bonjour, Alain Rochat – Gershon Koffie (Eric Hassli 72), Jun Marques Davidson, John Thorrington – Camilo (Darren Mattocks 83), Sebastien Le Toux, Davide Chiumiento. TEAM NEWS  For the second time in four matches, Whitecaps FC scored a goal in the final 10 minutes to rescue points. They have scored four goals in the final quarter-hour this season; those two have led directly to four additional points in the standings.

“I think in a number of occasions we fought to the end of games. I don’t think there was ever a moment of doubt by that. We talked about the fact that Portland loses a lot of goals in the final 15 minutes of games. Because of that, I think it stuck in our minds,” said Whitecaps FC head coach Martin Rennie. “We just kept going and I don’t think there’s a lot of games you can question the quality of play by these guys. Today they showed it again, they showed the desire right to the end.” Whitecaps FC have now gone winless over their last five games in all competitions, the draw in Portland following a loss in the second leg of the Canadian Championship to Toronto FC. The club’s last win came May 9 vs. FC Edmonton. “Coming off the disappointment of Wednesday, we showed the right response that we needed, and hopefully we will have our moment to move forward,” said midfielder John Thorrington. “We’ve had a lot of tired legs and a lot of minutes. To go down 1-0 in a place like this and to come back really speaks to the character of the guys in the locker room.” After conceding six goals in the previous two matches, Whitecaps FC restored some defensive stability in Portland, though they have still gone seven matches over all competitions without a clean sheet. “For us, it’s about being consistent – consistently doing well and consistently winning games,” Rennie said. “When we’ve had our first choice back four playing, we’ve only lost three goals in MLS, so we want to keep our back four together as much as we can because that’s a fantastic record.” Thorrington made his first start in a league game since April 18, having come on as a second-half substitute in three of the previous five games. He had started all four games in the Canadian Championship. “I think his performance made him the man of the match tonight. He was one of the guys I noticed was most disappointed with what happened Wednesday,” said Rennie. “He was one of the guys that got everyone together, and I think his performance really gave us that spark. When he plays at that kind of level you saw (against Portland), it shows he is going to be that great of a player for us.” Darren Mattocks scored his first MLS goal, making his third consecutive appearance after missing three months following burns suffered in a household accident. Mattocks had scored his first professional goal in a Canadian Championship match vs. Edmonton. “It’s really nice seeing his confidence grow. The one thing about him is he always makes chances for himself. If he can keep playing and taking those chances, then we have a really special player on our hands,” said Rennie. Following their last league match, Whitecaps FC have taken some well-deserved time off. “We’ve played a ton of games in a short period of time, and traveling to the east coast three times within that span can really tire you out,” Rennie said.

HOUSTON DYNAMO The Houston Dynamo extended their undefeated streak to four games and remained undefeated in league play in their new home, defeating the LA Galaxy 2-1 in a rematch of MLS Cup 2011 in their last match, May 26 at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Dynamo are in a tie for sixth place in the Eastern Conference with 16 points from 11 games. LAST MATCH  The Galaxy took an early lead. Edson Buddle, David Beckham and Chad Barrett carved up the Dynamo defense with three excellent passes, and the ball ended up at the feet of Buddle, who exploited space between Bobby Boswell and Andre Hainault to slot home a smooth right-to-left finish in the 10th minute.  The Dynamo drew level thanks to some good fortune. Brian Ching's shot crashed off the crossbar but unfortunately for Mike Magee and the Galaxy, his attempt to bring the ball down resulted in a rebound into an empty net.  The Dynamo then scored the match-winner in the 57th minute, when Andre Hainault headed home an inswinging corner from Brad Davis into the bottom corner.  Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear made one change to the team that reached a late 2-2 draw with the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium. Andre Hainault came in for Geoff Cameron, away on international duty.  HOUSTON DYNAMO (4-4-2): Tally Hall – Andre Hainault, Jermaine Taylor, Bobby Boswell, Corey Ashe – Calen Carr (Colin Clark 75), Adam Moffat, Je-Vaughn Watson, Brad Davis (Luiz Camargo 84) – Will Bruin, Brian Ching (Macoumba Kandji 72). TEAM NEWS  The Dynamo conceded their first goal in league play in their new home, but still remained undefeated there with a second victory (to go with a draw) in three matches.  Brad Davis, who led MLS with 16 assists a season ago, recorded his second assist of the season on the match-winner. Both assists have come in the last two games.  “You don’t like to go back that far, but I don’t think we tested their defense from wide areas on crosses,” Dominic Kinnear said. “Having Brad there is a benefit when you have a dead-ball situation and when you have aggressive guys attacking the ball.”

The game-winning goal was the third from a corner kick this season for the Dynamo, tied with D.C. United and San Jose for most in MLS. They tied for the league lead (with Real Salt Lake) with nine goals from corners a season ago. “It’s very important and it’s been the culture of this team,” Davis said. “We’re starting to understand each other and I like the way we play. Getting the ball wide, getting it in the box and I think we did a good job of that.” But they have just one goal from a cross from open play this season, after scoring 11 via that route a year ago. “We have a young team. Last year, we didn’t move the ball as well as we are this year,” Davis said. “I think the maturity of this group shows. There are a lot of young guys here, but we are starting to understand each other and get into a groove. Once we got the lead (against LA), we were composed. We settled down, moved the ball and made them chase the game.” The Dynamo were without linchpin Geoff Cameron for the first time this season, as he was with the U.S. national team in advance of the start of World Cup qualifying. André Hainault – ahead of his own departure for international duty with Canada – started for just the second time in five games and scored his second goal of the season. “The team is deep enough that we can move players in and out. Geoff is a big player for us but he is out and we have to fill the gaps,” said goalkeeper Tally Hall. “I think we did an awesome job with the guys on the field. There was no different mentality going out there. We just needed to go out and get three points.” The Wednesday following the league match, the Dynamo had their U.S. Open Cup run ended at the first hurdle, losing 1-0 to the NASL’s San Antonio Scorpions in a third-round tie. The game’s lone goal came on a penalty kick converted by San Antonio’s Hans Denissen in the 51st minute. Here’s the Dynamo team: Tyler Deric; Warren Creavalle, Bobby Boswell (Josue Soto 75), Nathan Sturgis, Oscar Recio; Alex Dixon, Luiz Camargo, Adam Moffat (Brian Ownby 62), Colin Clark, Macoumba Kandji (Colin Rolfe 62), Cam Weaver The Dynamo also lost for the first time in their new ground, a 2-1 loss to Valencia CF of Spain in the BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup. Aritz Aduriz scored twice for Valencia, answered by a goal from Houston’s Calen Carr, as all three goals came in the opening 17 minutes. “These games, most of the time, we say will test the depth of the squad, but now the depth is being taken away,” Kinnear said. “The guys have to be really ready and the standards can’t drop because you want the team to win.”

ABOUT WHITECAPS FC In 1974, Vancouver Whitecaps FC played their inaugural season in the North American Soccer League, and in 1979, the club won the NASL Soccer Bowl championship. Following the demise of the NASL in 1984, Vancouver 86ers were founded in 1986 and from 1987 to 1992 the club won four Canadian Soccer League titles. In 1993, Vancouver joined the North American second division after the disbandment of the CSL. In 2001, the club reverted back to the Whitecaps and the following season added FC to their official name while creating a full club model that encompasses professional teams for men and women, extensive youth development and grassroots participation programs, facility development, and the Whitecaps Foundation to support specific initiatives related to health and wellness through soccer. Since 2004, Whitecaps FC have won two United Soccer Leagues First Division championships and two USL W-League championships. Whitecaps FC were the 17th club admitted to Major League Soccer on March 18, 2009, and on March 10, 2011, Vancouver kicked off their inaugural year in MLS at Empire Field before moving into the new BC Place Stadium in downtown Vancouver. Vancouver finished the 2011 season with a record of 6W-18L-10D. 2012 is Vancouverʼs 37th season of professional soccer, and 26th consecutive season. Whitecaps FC are the longest running pro soccer club in United States and Canadian history.

VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC VS. HOUSTON DYNAMO – MEDIA NOTES

MATCH NOTES As a member of the MLS Eastern Conference, todayʼs visit of Houston to Bell Pitch at BC Place will be the lone regular season meeting between Whitecaps FC and the Dynamo. Since 2007, Houston have never won an MLS match on Canadian soil (0W-3L-3D). Todayʼs match is the third meeting between Vancouver and Houston, with Whitecaps FC splitting their first two MLS encounters with the Dynamo last season. On Apr. 10, 2011, the 'Caps suffered a 3-1 defeat at Houstonʼs Robertson Stadium. First-half goals from Cam Weaver and Bobby Boswell set Houston on their way to victory, despite #37 Camilo Sanvezzo replying before halftime for Vancouver. Will Bruin sealed all three points for the Dynamo with a late second-half strike. Whitecaps FC Date 2011.04.10 2011.08.27

avenged that defeat at Empire Field on Aug. 27, 2011, as a late strike from Shea Salinas gave Vancouver a 1-0 home win. The only other time Whitecaps FC faced a team from 'Space City' was during the old North American Soccer League days when the 'Caps lost 1-0 at home to Houston Hurricane on June 2, 1979. Todayʼs match will also be the 50th time that Whitecaps FC play a club from the state of Texas since 1974. At home, Vancouver have dominated clubs from The Lone Star State with an all-time record of 21W-2L-2D for an overall record of 29W-16L-4D all-time.

WHITECAPS FC NOTES Whitecaps FC are looking to end a three-match winless streak in MLS, and a five-match winless run in all competitions, this afternoon. Through a third of the season played, Vancouver are in fifth place in the MLS Western Conference standings with a record of 5W-3L-4D. They are also in seventh spot in the latest MLS Power Rankings. Vancouverʼs last MLS encounter came in Portland, Oregon, on May 26, where Whitecaps FC earned a 1-1 draw with Cascadia Cup rivals Portland Timbers at JELDWEN Field. Though Designated Player Kris Boyd gave Portland the lead midway through the second half, #22 Darren Mattocks secured a valuable road point for the Blue and White with his first career MLS goal in the late stages. As a result, Whitecaps FC have opened their 2012 Cascadia Cup campaign with draws against Portland and Seattle Sounders FC on May 19. #37 Camilo Sanvezzo has enjoyed scoring against MLS clubs from Texas. The Brazilian struck Vancouverʼs consolation goal in last seasonʼs 3-1 defeat in Houston on Apr. 10, 2011, before scoring the match winner in this seasonʼs 1-0 home win over FC Dallas on Apr. 21, 2012. Whitecaps FC have had eight different goalscorers in MLS this season. At the same stage last year, Vancouver had seven different players find the scoresheet in the league. Vancouver have one of the most global squads in all of MLS, with 17 total countries represented among the 29 roster players. Comparably, almost 70 per cent of the Houston roster is made up of players from the United States.

Centre back #2 Michael Boxall will miss todayʼs match, as he is on international duty. Boxall is helping his native New Zealand defend their Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Nations Cup title and advance to the next stage of 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying in the Solomon Islands. Boxall will be available for selection during Whitecaps FCʼs home match versus Colorado Rapids on Saturday, June 16. Whitecaps FC head coach Martin Rennie has a near full squad of players to choose from. The ʻCaps were further boosted by the return to full training of goalkeeper #24 Brian Sylvestre this week. The United States youth international has endured a lengthy recovery from knee surgery last year. Striker #9 Atiba Harris is on the sidelines until the summer after undergoing a successful operation to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee on May 25. Meanwhile, United States youth international striker #17 Omar Salgado will be out of action for most of the summer. After coming on as a first half sub in the United States U-20 friendly matches versus Uruguay on June 6, the El Paso, Texas, native suffered a right foot fracture late in the second half. Whitecaps FCʼs second Designated Player - midfielder Barry Robson - will be joining the club around June 27, having just completed the 2011-12 season with English League Championship side Middlesbrough FC.

There he would play against Dominic Kinnear, at the time a player for Seattle Sounders, in the A-League semifinals. Vancouver would lose both legs of the semifinal matches against Seattle with both Valentine and Kinnear getting the start in each of the games. Later on in the championship final against the Atlanta Ruckus, Kinnear would score the winning penalty kick. #6 Nathan Sturgis was teammates with Cannon at LA Galaxy in 2007. Sturgis was selected by Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the third round of the 2010 MLS Expansion Draft then traded the next day to Toronto FC in exchange for the eighth overall pick (#13 Michael Nanchoff) in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft.

Nanchoff, #8 Kofi Sarkodie, and #22 Darren Mattocks were teammates at the University of Akron. Nanchoff played for the Zips from 2007 to 2010, Sarkodie from 2008 to 2010, and Mattocks from 2010 to 2011. #4 Jermaine Taylor, #10 Je-Vaughn Watson and Mattocks are all Jamaican internationals.

DeMerit was USMNT teammates with #25 Brian Ching and current Houston assistant coach Steve Ralston when the squad won the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Ching played both legs of the 2002 A-League semifinal against Whitecaps FC while a striker with Seattle Sounders that season. Vancouver would win the series 82 on aggregate. #7 Sébastien Le Toux would get two assists in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinal between his then team Seattle Sounders against Houston Dynamo on July 21, 2009. Seattle would win the match 2-1. Le Toux would score his first MLS playoff goal, which was also the first ever MLS playoff goal for Philadelphia Union, in 2-1 loss to Houston Dynamo during the first leg of the 2011 Eastern Conference semifinals. Houston would go on to win the series 3-1 on aggregate. #23 Long Tan has an American stepfather, David Wells, who is a resident of Houston, Texas. #3 Calen Carr and #11 John Thorrington were teammates for five seasons at Chicago Fire from 2006 to 2010. #32 Bobby Boswell played under Whitecaps FC's director of soccer operations Tom Soehn while he was assistant coach at D.C. United when the two were both with the club from 2005-07.

DYNAMO VS. VANCOUVER – DYNAMO RETURN TO WEST COAST TO MEET ‘CAPS The Houston Dynamo (4‐3‐4; 16 points) return to the West Coast, where their 2012 season began with three road games, to meet the Vancouver Whitecaps (5‐3‐4; 19 points) on Sunday at BC Place. The Dynamo resume MLS action after dropping a U.S. Open Cup match at San Antonio on May 29, 1‐0 , and falling to Valencia of Spain, 2‐1, in a friendly on May 31. In their last MLS game Houston earned a 2‐1 comeback win over the LA Galaxy on May 26 at BBVA Compass Stadium. Andre Hainault headed home the winning goal from a Brad Davis corner kick in the 57th minute. Vancouver is enjoying an improved sophomore season in MLS after an expected difficult expansion campaign in 2011 (6‐18‐10, 28 points). Sunday marks the lone meeting between the Dynamo and Whitecaps in 2012. 2011 Meetings: Houston and Vancouver split the season series in 2011, with each team securing a home win. The Dynamo earned a 3‐1 triumph at Robertson Stadium on April 10 with Will Bruin notching his first career goal and Cam Weaver and Bobby Boswell chipping in the others. Camilo tallied the lone goal for the ‘Caps. In the return fixture Aug. 27 at Empire Field, Vancouver snatched a 1‐0 win through Shea Salinas’ 86th‐minute winner to end a five‐game unbeaten run for Houston.

DYNAMO NOTES 

Dynamo sign Oscar Boniek García: The Dynamo acquired Honduran midfielder Oscar Boniek García on Thursday. The 27‐year‐old Designated Player will be eligible to join the roster when the international transfer window opens on June 27. García has played for Honduran powerhouse C.D. Olimpia since 2007 after his first tenure with the club from 2003‐06. With García, Olimpia captured the 2011‐12 Honduran League Apertura and Clausura championships. The midfielder debuted for the Honduras national team in 2005 and has 67 appearances for his country, including five appearances in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The Dynamo will face Olimpia in CONCACAF Champions League group play.

Dynamo host Valencia in BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup: The Dynamo welcomed Spanish giants Valencia to BBVA Compass Stadium on May 31, with Valencia capturing a 2‐1 win in the friendly. Dynamo midfielder Calen Carr produced a sensational individual goal in the 14th minute, dribbling pas several defenders from the touchline before unleashing a howling left‐footed strike from 25 yards into the far corner. Valencia forward Aritz Aduriz scored both goals for Valencia, which defeated Portland 1‐0 in the other game on its U.S. tour.

Champions League Draw: The Dynamo were drawn into Group 3 of the 2012‐2013 CONCACAF Champions League at the official draw held on Tuesday. Houston will face C.D. Olimpia of Honduras and C.D. FAS of El Salvador. The Dynamo qualified for the tournament by advancing to the 2011 MLS Cup Final. This is the fifth appearance for the Dynamo in the regional championship, including semifinal runs in the 2007 and 2008 Champions Cup tournaments. It is the first appearance for the Dynamo in Champions League since they advanced to the quarterfinals in 2008‐2009. Group play runs from July 31‐Oct. 25.

Cameron, Hainault, Taylor, Watson called in for national duty: Three members of Houston’s heralded backline and regular starting midfielder Je‐Vaughn Watson have been called in for national duty by their home countries and all will miss Sunday’s game against the ‘Caps. Geoff Cameron was named to the 23‐man U.S. men’s national team roster for three friendlies and two World Cup qualifiers. Cameron joined the camp on May 20 and will miss two MLS games before returning for the Texas Derby on June 16. It is Cameron’s third national team call‐up. Andre Hainault was called into the Canada men’s national team camp ahead of a friendly vs. USA and two World Cup qualifiers. Hainault has 25 caps for Canada and will return for the FC Dallas match on June 16. Watson was called up by Jamaica and joined the national team on May 27 for a pair of friendlies against Panama and two World Cup Qualifiers before he returns to the Dynamo for the June 16 match with FC Dallas. Taylor (46 caps) also joined the “Reggae Boyz” following the Valencia game and will be available for Jamaica’s World Cup Qualifiers.

Dynamo fall in U.S. Open Cup: The Dynamo were defeated 1‐0 by the San Antonio Scorpions in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on May 29 in San Antonio. The Scorpions, an expansion club in the North American Soccer League, advance to the quarterfinals to meet the Charlotte Eagles. San Antonio midfielder Hans Denissen converted a penalty in the 51st minute for the winning goal. Dynamo goalkeeper Tyler Deric was outstanding in goal, producing several quality saves to keep Houston in the game.

Hainault hits 100 starts: Andre Hainault started against the Galaxy on May 26 for his 100th career start in all competitions for the Dynamo. He scored with a header in the 57th minute for his second game‐winner of the season.

 75 assists for Davis: Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis recorded his 75th assist for the Dynamo in all competitions with his corner kick that Andre Hainault headed into the net for the winning goal vs. the LA Galaxy. Davis is Houston’s all‐time leader in assists.  

Ching nearing 200 games: Brian Ching has played in 199 MLS games before Sunday’s game at Vancouver. Ching approaching third on Dynamo games played list: Ching has appeared in 135 MLS regular season games with the Dynamo. If he plays at Vancouver on Sunday he will tie Brian Mullan and Pat Onstad for third on Houston’s all‐time list.

 Ching climbing assist chart: Ching has 18 MLS regular season assists with the Dynamo. With his next assist, he will tie Brian Mullan for second on the Dynamo all‐time list.  Time Change: The game time for the June 16 match vs. FC Dallas has been moved to 6:30 p.m. The match, to air on ESPN 2, was originally set for 4 p.m. but was moved back due to concerns of heat with the mid‐afternoon kickoff.  Sellout Streak: The Dynamo have sold out all four home games at BBVA Compass Stadium, including the May 31 friendly with Valencia. The Dynamo have had 22,039 in attendance at all four home games in 2012. 

First Comeback Win: The Dynamo recorded a 2‐1 win on May 26 over the LA Galaxy for their first come‐from‐behind win of the season. Prior to Saturday the Dynamo were 0‐3‐1 on the season when allowing the first goal of the game.

Western Expansion: After Saturday’s 2‐1 win over the Galaxy the Dynamo are now 3‐1‐1 against the Western Conference this season, with wins against Chivas USA, the San Jose Earthquakes and the Galaxy. Houston is 1‐2‐3 vs. the Eastern Conference, but five of those six games were played on the road.

Second Half Savants: The Dynamo are now 3‐0‐4 in games in which they were tied at halftime and 1‐0 when leading at halftime. They are a perfect 4‐0‐4 when they are tied or leading at the break. Houston is 0‐3 when trailing at the interval.

Hainault’s game‐winners: Defender Andre Hainault’s 57th‐minute winner vs. the Galaxy was his second game‐winning goal of the season. Hainault buried a shot from 12 yards in the second minute of stoppage time on opening day, a 1‐0 win at Chivas USA on March 11, for his first game‐winner this season.

Daytime Dominance: With the May 26 matinee win over the Galaxy, Houston improved to 4‐0 in day games this season, with wins over Chivas USA, San Jose, D.C. United and the Galaxy. The Dynamo are 0‐3‐4 at night, but six of the seven night games have been on the road. Houston has three more day games this season (6/10 at Vancouver, 7/28 at Toronto FC and 9/30 at Philadelphia).

Cameron’s streak ends: Geoff Cameron missed the May 26 game with the Galaxy while playing for the U.S. in its 5‐1 win over Scotland. It was the first MLS game that Cameron had missed since May 4, 2011 vs. Colorado. Prior to Saturday, Cameron had started and played full time in 40 consecutive matches (playoffs included), the most‐ever among Houston field players. Cameron played 3,576 consecutive minutes in MLS play (playoffs included) before his latest absence. Goalkeeper Tally Hall leads all players with 45 consecutive MLS starts. Brad Davis’ streak of 45 consecutive starts was broken at Chicago on April 15 due to a calf strain.

BBVA Compass Stadium opener: The Dynamo opened the 13th soccer‐specific stadium in Major League Soccer on May 12. On a gorgeous, 82‐degree day in front of a sell‐out crowd of 22,039, the Dynamo honored past legends, including Wade Barrett, Pat Onstad, Eddie Robinson and Craig Waibel in a pregame ceremony that included the unveiling of 2006 and 2007 MLS Cup championship banners. Brad Davis provided a signature opening moment, delivering a beautiful, curling 30‐ yard strike for the game‐winning goal in the 67th minute.

Clutch: Luiz Camargo’s 87th‐minute equalizer at New England on May 19 was Houston’s third late goal on the road this season. Brian Ching’s equalizer in the 81st minute at Columbus on April 21 and Hainault’s game‐winner two minutes into stoppage time at Chivas USA on March 11 were also reminiscent of 2011 for the Dynamo. Last year, Houston scored 14 goals in the final 15 minutes of games, the second most in MLS (Seattle).

1st for Camargo: Luiz Camargo’s equalizer in the 87th minute at New England on May 19 was his first MLS goal.

4 games in 11 days: The Dynamo completed a stretch of four games in 11 days with the 2‐2 draw at New England on May 19. While Dominic Kinnear rotated the squad throughout the run of games, several players logged large quantities of minutes. Tally Hall, Bobby Boswell, Geoff Cameron and Jermaine Taylor each logged all 360 minutes in the four games. Calen Carr (327 minutes), Brad Davis (324) and Will Bruin (273) each logged solid time as well.

Ashe moves to second on franchise list: With his start on May 15 Portland, Corey Ashe played in his 137th MLS regular season game to move to second on the Dynamo all‐time list, passing Brian Mullan and Pat Onstad.

Boswell Bicentennial: Bobby Boswell faced his former team (D.C. United) on May 12 for his 200th Major League Soccer appearance in his eight‐year career. Boswell also made his 200th MLS start vs. the Galaxy on May 26. The central defender has been very consistent in his career, averaging 27.4 games per season and has played every minute of every match in 2012. Boswell has played at least 23 games in each season and has played full time in 21 consecutive MLS matches (playoffs included) dating to Sept. 14, 2011 at Columbus.

Clean Sheets: The Dynamo earned their fourth clean sheet through nine games in the 0‐0 draw with Portland on May 15. Through nine games in 2011, the Dynamo had recorded just one shutout. Houston recorded a total of six shutouts in the 2011 regular season.

Carr Centennial: Calen Carr’s start at New England on May 19 was his 100th MLS regular season appearance.

Davis reaches 25 Dynamo goals with BBVA Compass opener: Brad Davis’ sensational 30‐yard strike against D.C. United on May 12 was his 25th goal in all competitions with the Dynamo. Davis is the third Dynamo player to reach 25 goals, joining Brian Ching (64) and Dwayne De Rosario (32). It was Davis’ 37th MLS regular season goal.

Offensive: The Dynamo produced 38 shots in their first two games at BBVA Compass Stadium. May 15 vs. Portland the Men in Orange bombarded Troy Perkins with 18 shots. On May 12, the Dynamo outshot D.C. United 20‐4 for their most shots in a game this season. Houston set a franchise record with 27 shots vs. New England on April 17, 2011.

Davis Milestone: Brad Davis started against D.C. United on May 12 for his 150th MLS regular season start with the Dynamo. Davis is the franchise leader in regular season starts.

Cameron Climbing: With Cameron’s start at New England on May 19 he reached 141 appearances in all competitions to pass Wade Barrett for seventh on all‐time list.

Boswell Milestone: Bobby Boswell’s start at New York on May 9 was his 150th Dynamo start in all competitions. He is the fifth Dynamo player to start 150 (Brad Davis, Pat Onstad, Brian Mullan, Brian Ching).

Corey Ashe made his 175th appearance for the Dynamo in all competitions at D.C. on April 28. He is the third Dynamo player to reach 175 appearances in all competitions (Brad Davis, Brian Mullan).

Will Bruin scored in three consecutive games (4/15, 4/21, 4/28) to mark the fifth time a Dynamo player has scored in three consecutive games (Bruin 2012, Ching 2006, 2008; Joseph Ngwenya 2007; Stuart Holden 2009).

The three goals allowed by the Dynamo on April 28 at D.C. United marked the first time Houston has allowed three goals in a game since Sept. 10, 2011, a 3‐0 loss at Sporting KC, ending a 15 game stretch without allowing three goals in a game.

Possession: Despite playing their first seven games on the road, the Dynamo have won the possession battle in nine of 11 games on the season and had slim disadvantages in the others. Houston had a 60‐40% advantage vs. LA, 62% possession at New England, 60% vs. Portland, 56% vs. D.C., 53% at New York, 54% at D.C., a slim 49‐51% disadvantage at Columbus, 55% at Chicago, 56% at Seattle, a narrow disadvantage (48‐52%) at San Jose, and 53% at Chivas USA.

First Road Win of 2012: Houston’s 1‐0 win over Chivas USA on March 11 erased bad memories of the 2011 road schedule. It took Houston 16 games to record its first road win of the 2011 campaign. After a 0‐6‐9 start, the Dynamo defeated FC Dallas 1‐0 at Pizza Hut Park on September 24.

Six years after the club’s first match on April 2, 2006, only two players remain on the Dynamo roster: Brian Ching and Brad Davis. Defender Eddie Robinson retired in January and joined the front office as an assistant coach with the team’s Youth Academy and as a color analyst on TV broadcasts.

UP NEXT: TEXAS DERBY WITH FC DALLAS The Dynamo will face Texas rivals FC Dallas on Saturday, June 16 in the lone meeting for El Capitan in 2012. The match was moved to 6:30 p.m due to heat concerns after it was originally scheduled for 4 p.m.
