Welcome to the Tenth Annual Place Your Bet Bull Sale. We can’t believe it’s been 10 years since this all began. This past year we have seen many changes in our industry, our province and our country. With these changes we need to be more optimistic than ever and look to what we know best and that is good quality cattle. Quality cattle will speak and sell themselves. As cattlemen we strive to produce the best product we can in strong economic times and in tougher ones. These past 10 years of our sale have taught us that we have to be willing to change. Change forces us to better cattlemen, better producers and better people. The quality of bulls changes and gets better with each passing year and we look forward to what 2016 will bring for us and our customers. Our customers speak for themselves and most of our buyers are repeat customers. We have reds, blacks and bauldy’s, heifer bulls and herd sires. There is a great variety from 5 producers to meet your bull needs. Come check out the bulls on sale day or have a tour at the farm. We strive to provide bulls that provide desirable traits for the purebred breeder and the commercial breeder. This year brings another solid group of bulls from some new up and coming herdsires of our own and we look forward to watching them mature into our breeding program and yours. We have the bulls to fit into your program, check out Dryland Cattle Trading Corp in Veteran, AB on March 12, 2016. All bulls are semen tested and sound by vet inspection prior to the sale. Insurance is available the day of the sale. Bulls will be previewed prior to the sale, but feel free to stop in for coffee and a visit on the farm to have a look before hand. TERMS & CONDITIONS

TERMS: The terms of this sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made previous to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. BID: Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. DISPUTES: In some cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneers decision in such matters will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Bidders are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: The proper Registration or Recordation paper, as the case may be, will be duly trans- ferred and furnished to the buyer for each animal after the settlement has been made. BREEDERS GUARANTEE: Bulls... Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following the date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will then have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that the semen col- lected from the bull will be suitable for artificial insemina- tion. Heifers... All have been palpated and guaranteed open and in good health by a local veterinarian.

Should any bull fail to be a satisfactory breeder, he will be replaced with a bull of equal value and performance level. Should this not be possible, a credit toward the purchase of another bull will be awarded. All warranty and responsibility is limited to replacement of the bull in question and is acknowledged by the buyer as a condition of sale. EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE: In cases where the animal is subject to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. SETTLEMENT: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller for account of the purchaser. No incidental expenses such as feed, A.I., signing fees, interest, veterinary charges, etc. will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal a breeder, then said animal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at his expense. Should the seller fail to so prove the animal is a breeder, then the buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory replacement, F.O.B. the ranch or the refund of the actual price. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. Should a dispute over the quality of a replacement animal, the Sales Management will appoint a mediator. ACCIDENTS: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, Auctioneer, or Sellers assume any responsibility in this manner and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of the accident or loss of property. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS: The above terms and conditions shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transac- tion the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale. Our show bull from the fall and sire of some of these bulls. Superior calving ease and great maternal a son of the great SAV Brilliance has really worked well. We used Atmosphere as a main herd sire when our Anthem bull from Bar EL went down and is why some of his sons are younger, we used him again last year on heifers and a few cows but with so many related to him in our herd so there fore we are offering him for sale. His dam is a great producing perfect uddered Kodiak 8045 daughter that is the mother of 13C. A daughter sold in the fall to Kueber farms and has some standouts in the replacement pen.

We couldn’t be happier with our “Frank” calves. Last years bulls averaged $7333. They calved out great for the third year and our first bred heifers have calved and are milking well with very nice shaped udders. We can tell our Frank calves at birth by their thick hair coat and this years bull pen is our quietest group yet with the Frank Bulls being Ray’s pets. One of our framier Bulls out of a smaller Mayhem cow, a Mac son could be used on larger framed heifers. We used Mac for many years on our heifers and often wondered if the scale was broken at 82lbs. He was that consistent and we drew semen on him and continue to use home now. Smooth shouldered, long bodied with lots of testicle describes 4C the best. We cannot say enough great things about our Mayhem females, they are consistent and have our most solid udders and have been great mothers. Check out Grease Monkey for added length and pounds. Sucker punch is our go to calving ease specialist. They are small at birth with lots of vigour and gain well. We have calved out 2 groups of punch heifers and love their moderate stature, great hair and balanced tight udders. Super Punch types his sire with added punch! He is moderate framed from a larger framed cow that always produces solid calves. Super is our hairiest and youngest bull on offering, but he is just as solid as his cover. Sweet headed, with lots of muscle and testicle, look to Super to add that extra punch in your calves. A great option for larger framed heifers. Polled!!

Our Mayhem calves do not disappoint. He has been siring calves for 6 years and we have many milking females from him as well. Payout was a black blazed faced bull that Sun Star raised that was a great power bull that threw solid females as well. 13X is a moderate cow with a great udder. Double Wide is a dark cherry red bull with definite eye appeal and lots of hip and bone. If you are looking for fancy steers, this is the way to go! A super solid Skor son out of a hard working Red Label daughter. 10Y comes from a long line of great maternal cows. If you could make me a herd of cows like this it would be a great looking and hard working group of cows. 10C has great muscling, lots of spring of rib, and a nice sweet head to finish. This bull types our Frank calves very similar with his hair coat and frame. He is a moderate compact package of meat. 10C will make great feminine females and solid soggy steers. Our last and final calf from our beloved 1M tank cow. She injured herself last year and was unable to be bred. She left off with a bang, Red Rover is a framier bull with loads of potential as a herd sire. 1M was a foundation female with lots of great maternal traits, a balanced udder and exceptional feet and legs.
