Acoustic to velvet-lined Area venues offer lively music scene. BY AARON DAVIS Just as the snow flies and layers our mountains, area venues are stacking entertainment for what has developed into a lively music scene of theaters, wine shops, acoustic listening rooms, clubs and bars. The 525-seat, state-of-the-art Center Theater in the Center for the Arts is located two blocks south of the Town Square. The winter season kicks off with a rare concert from local folk singersongwriter Beth McIntosh (Dec. 22, $8$12), followed by folk-blues artist Ruthie Foster and her trio (Jan. 10, $26-$36), atmospheric rock quartet Civil Twilight (Jan. 17, $26-$36), The Harlem Gospel Choir (Jan. 19, $46), and the Jackson Hole Showcase (Feb. 15). $1 of each

The red velvet-lined room features seating in the back and standing room towards the stage.
