HORN (WILLIAMS), OVETTA (Jan ’61) Spouse: Willie D Williams Tampa, FL USA dovwms31st@aol.com After 35 years of teaching, Ovetta retired from Hillsborough County School System in Florida. She enjoys traveling abroad, practicing yoga, exercising, and playing golf. She also enjoys going on outings with the Red Hat group she belongs to. She says her parents still live in Highland Park. She and her husband drove their 1935 Chevy from Tampa to Detroit for the Woodward Dream Cruise last year. She was featured on Channel 7 talking about their car and the trip. Ovetta has one son: Wendell D. Williams (1977). They moved to Maui, Hawaii, in 1977, divorced and moved to West Pam Beach, Florida. She returned to school and has been a Neonatal Intensive Care RN since 1981. She has two daughters: One is a Retail Manager, and the other has a Finance and Economics degree from the University of Florida. She has four grandchildren: Jack (13), Kendall (8), Garrett (5) and Carson (2). She has had a variety of jobs – in a restaurant, a seamstress, and she had a business called "Draperies by Ann". She is presently working part‐time as a private duty care‐giver and part‐time independent marketing executive for Melalueca. She has held a variety positions in church – youth director, choir director, a ministry for girls ages 9‐14 called "Just For You", praise/worship team, and soloist. Annie moved from Michigan in 1974 to Alabama then to Tennessee in 1978. She took a course for certified nurse technician and finished at the top of the class. She also had two years of bible school.
