She married Paul Scribner (class of ‘59) that lasted for 7 years and they divorced. She then married Jim Settle from Denver, CO – he was her soul mate. They were married for 31 years when he passed in 2005. Before Cathy met Jim, she finished schooling at Oakland University. She was a paralegal for 30 years and retired in 2010. Cathy inherited four stepchildren when he married Jim. She considers them like her own oldest daughter. Cathy’s son never married, and her daughter lost her husband to leukemia.
