Traditional Fire Backs - for the larger inglenook
Kingsworthy Foundry traditional quality fireside accessories for log and coal burning fires, now available exclusively to the trade from CALFIRE
The thickness of our firebacks vary from ½”to 2” according to size. All firebacks are painted black. To install simply lean the fireback against the rear of the fireplace. some firebacks are still hand moulded and cast in much the same way as they have been for generations. Apart from the aesthetic value, firebacks prevent scorching of the rear brickwork and help to radiate heat - a point worth remembering when installing a gas log or coal effect fire as they are equally effective with this type of appliance as with the traditional natural log or coal fire.
