The university also touts the 750-seat, state-of-the-art Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center, which features superb acoustics and a flexible space well-suited for dramatic productions, concerts and other cultural events. Lynn implemented the Dialogues of Learning in the fall of 2008, an innovative academic core curriculum with a focus on liberal education. It is a relevant, integrated and intensive four-year curriculum that recognizes students’ distinct interests, engages them in conversations across disciplinary boundaries and fosters an understanding of both U.S. and global communities, no matter a student’s major or degree. Lynn’s student-to-faculty ratio (15:1) supports individualized attention. Carol Schneider, president of the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), the leading national association concerned with the quality and vitality of undergraduate liberal education, has called Lynn’s core curriculum “inspirational” and one that will “ensure that Lynn students graduate richly prepared for life, work and citizenship in this volatile global century.” Lynn is committed to making its education affordable. In fall 2010, Lynn began offering a three-year degree program, called Lynn Degree 3.0, that saves eligible undergraduate students more than $45,000 on the cost of their degrees. In addition, Lynn Degree 3.0 students complete their undergraduate education in

Palm Beach State College, the largest institution of higher education in Palm Beach County, serves more than 50,000 students annually. In addition to associate degrees, professional certificates, career and customized training and lifelong learning, Palm Beach State is now offering its first baccalaureate degree, the Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management, with concentration areas in general management, health management and public safety management. Upper-level courses toward this degree began in fall 2009. The college also recently received approval from the State Board of Education to offer two more bachelor’s degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Management. The college currently offers more than 100 programs of study at campuses in Boca Raton, Lake Worth, Palm Beach Gardens and Belle Glade.
