Arkansas Athletic Media Relations

The University of Arkansas Athletic Media Relations Office is located on the north side of Barnhill Arena with office hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. You can often reach us at Barnhill after hours, but if not, please leave a message on our voice mail system.

Interview Policy

Please direct all requests for interviews with coaches and players to Chad Crunk. Members of the Arkansas coaching staff are generally available on weekday mornings and are available after games. All Arkansas practices are conducted at Baum Stadium at George Cole Field and are open to the public and media. Razorback players are available for interviews after scheduled practices. Players are not available for interviews on gamedays, except for post-game interviews. Post-game interviews are conducted in the indoor batting cages down the third base line. Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn will address the media first, followed by the two or three most requested Razorback players. In the event of a double header, the only Arkansas player available between games for interviews is the starting pitcher of game one. The Arkansas clubhouse is off limits to the media at all times.

Credentials

Members of the media should contact Chad Crunk to request season or individual game credentials for Razorback baseball home games. Individual game requests should be made no later than noon (CT) the day before the scheduled contest and should be directed to the Media Relations Office at 479-575-2753 or sent by e-mail to Crunk (mcrunk@uark.edu). Credential requests for away games should be made to the media relations contact of the home team.

E-mail Updates

Members of the media may request to be added to the Arkansas Media Relations baseball e-mail group. Subscribers will receive game notes, game stories and other information. To subscribe, send a request to Chad Crunk. Please identify yourself and your organization in your request as this service is only available to members of the media.

Gameday Media Services

The Arkansas Media Relations staff provides scorecards, rosters, updated statistics and results for each team in the Baum Stadium press box prior to each home game. Box scores, play-by-play and any postgame notes are disseminated approximately 10 minutes after the conclusion of the game. An Associated Press-style game story is also produced by the Media Relations Office. Members of the media may request these stories be sent to their organization via e-mail by contacting a member of the Media Relations Office.

Wireless Internet

The Baum Stadium press box is equipped with wireless internet for use by the media. Media members should log on to the “UA Wireless�network, open their internet browser and enter their email address to gain access to the network.

Live Radio/TV

The University of Arkansas Athletics Department retains all copyrights to its home events. All visiting radio stations must contact Director of Broadcasting Chuck Barrett 48 hours prior to make arrangements. Non-conference opponents may be subject to line charges as well as rights fees. Other stations requesting a phone line should contact SBC directly. Requests for live or tape-delayed television rights should be made in advance, and in writing, to Associate AD for Marketing and Licensing Brian Pracht (bpracht@uark.edu).

IP-Based Streaming

The Arkansas Athletics Department retains all streaming rights for its home events. Shared streams may be provided to opponents on a reciprocating basis. Please contact Director of RazorVision Michelle Glover (mlglover@uark.edu) for any requests for IP-based data, audio or video streaming.

Facilities/Parking

The Arkansas Baseball team conducts all practices and all games at Baum Stadium at George Cole Field. Baum Stadium is located just off Razorback Road south of Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard. Game Day parking for the media is located in the parking lot directly in front of the Randal Tyson Track Center behind home plate of Baum Stadium. Only cars with a parking credential will be allowed access to the parking lot.

Photographers

No cameras are allowed on the Baum Stadium playing surface during games. Photographers are encouraged to use the photo wells at the end of each dugout and behind home plate.
