Ellie’s Fine Lingerie

Ellie’s operates on the premise that all women should have access to beautiful, quality lingerie. From Blush and Panache to Freya and Hanky Panky, Ellie’s carries styles to suit every woman’s fancy.

B

etsy Dougherty wanted a bra that fit. She didn’t think that was too much to ask, and yet year after year, she found herself having to make the two-hour drive to Atlanta or Nashville in order to find a quality, properfitting bra. After venting to several friends, Betsy realized she wasn’t the only Chattanooga woman facing this dilemma.

You’ll find Chattanooga’s premiere lingerie boutique, Ellie’s Fine Lingerie, right here at Warehouse Row.

Her solution was to open her own lingerie boutique. Ellie’s Fine Lingerie at Warehouse Row is the result. At Ellie’s, women can not only get a

proper bra fitting, they can also treat themselves to top lingerie lines like Panache, Blush, Prima Donna, Affinitas, Hanky Panky, Freya and others. Brides and women of all ages will be glad to know that Ellie’s is thrilled to host your after-hours bridal shower or ladies night lingerie party where you can enjoy private shopping as you make your lingerie selections. Visit Ellie’s at ellieslingerie.com, and learn more about Betsy as we continue our interview on page 6.

Introducing Jessica Jollie Warehouse Row is proud to introduce you to our brand new yoga studio, Yoga Landing, helmed by Chattanooga yoga veteran Jessica Jollie.

Y

oga Landing studio owner Jessica Jollie needed an identity for her new yoga studio at Warehouse Row. She wanted something unique, like the practice of yoga, but something which also felt native, like Jollie herself. She looked out the window of her house and saw an amazing vine full of perennial passion flowers growing in her garden. “I’d lived in my house for six years,” she said. “That vine had only bloomed once before, and suddenly it was completely covered with gorgeous flowers.” Then, Jollie discovered that the passion flower is Tennessee’s state wildflower. “It was perfect,” she said. Jollie was first introduced to yoga by a high school friend whose family was from India. She started seriously practicing the art after a snowboarding accident that left her in constant pain. “My whole body would freeze up,” she said. “My Aunt Susan practiced yoga, and she taught me some of the postures and breathing techniques.” After a few months of daily practice, Jollie found that she was pain-free. Equally important, she says, were the spiritual benefits she gained from regular yoga practice. Find Jessica Jollie and her new Warehouse Row yoga studio, Yoga Landing, online at yogalanding.net. There, you can register for workshops and events as well as a full array of classes, from $14 single classes to unlimited monthly and annual plans for both singles and couples. The studio offers 2 hours of free parking in Warehouse Row’s secure parking deck with each visit.

Yoga Landing offers classes across a range of disciplines, from physical, invigorating yoga classes in the hot room to relaxing, introspective classes in the cool room. To learn more, visit Yoga Landing online at yogalanding.net.

M

eet Betsy Dougherty, owner of Ellie’s Fine Lingerie. Betsy (short for ‘Elizabeth’) named her lingerie boutique “Ellie’s” after her great aunt Elizabeth, who went by Ellie for short. When Betsy isn’t in the shop, she loves experimenting in the kitchen, walking her dog, playing on Pinterest and planning her wedding, which is coming up this November! Betsy’s all-time favorite lingerie line is Mary Jo, a company that has been making what Betsy calls “the most comfortable, wellmade, proper-fitting bras available” since 1865. With a lingerie boutique as well-curated as Ellie’s, it’s no surprise that Betsy takes her undergarments seriously. She calls a proper bra fitting a “lifechanging” experience because of the health as well as the wardrobe benefits. travel a lot, and everywhere I go, I fall in love with products I find. I’ve gotten so inspired, in fact, that I’m bringing some of these goods to a new retail venture, Mixson Market in Charleston. Like Star Provisions in Atlanta or Chelsea Market in New York, Mixson Market will be a hip spot to get quality meat, cheese, coffee, wine and made-to-order sandwiches. More than that, the market will be a community gathering space, a place where people can relax over a cup of coffee or shop for amazing housewares like wool blankets, Herschel Supply Co. backpacks, Falconware enameled plates from the UK, cookbooks and vintage French bread boards.

In addition to falling in love with great products, I also relish the unique marketplace communities I find in both small and large towns. That spirit definitely inspires Jamestown’s placemaking. Right here at Warehouse Row, for instance, we’re working to create an out-of-the-world mercantile food market, starting with local favorites Petunia’s Silver Jalapeño and Southern Burger Company.
