SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY
South Dakota State University is experiencing unprecedented growth, both in enrollment and building projects. Projects recently completed or currently under way include: • The $48 million, 144,000-square-foot Avera Health and Science Center; • Daktronics Engineering Building, a 33,000-square-foot expansion within the College of Engineering; • The $6 million Dykhouse Student-Athlete Center; • Jackrabbit Village, a complex of suite-style residence halls; • Expansion of the Dairy-Microbiology building; • A $7.8 million campus wellness center. Additional facility projects and enhancements to academic programs are being identified through the SDSU Foundation’s “It Starts With State” campaign, a comprehensive fund-raising inititative designed to raise $200 million through 2012.
