Most major airports have shoeshine stands and both beauty and barbershops. If you have a few hours to spare, you can spruce up. Some of the latter (Great Cuts barbershop at San Francisco International and Hairlines salon at Seattle-Tacoma International) even have showers. You can also find shower facilities at Honolulu International (mini-hotel, central lobby) and Miami International (airport hotel health club).
