The UTC host organization, the Underwater Technology Foundation (UTF), is a noncommercial entity aspiring to provide more insight into the subsea industry. Profits are returned to the subsea industry in form of grants and funding of research projects. The foundation is managed by representatives from Aker Solutions, Christian Michelsen Research, City of Bergen, DNV GL, NUI, Sparebanken Vest and Statoil.
