03 Equal Status Acts 2000–2011: Discrimination in the Provision of Goods and Services The conduct of the Anti-Discrimination Law Review project coincides with the impending launch of the ICCL’s new publication on the working of the Equal Status Act 2011. Equal Status Acts 2000–2011: Discrimination in the Provision of Goods and Services was written by Dr Judy Walsh. The book will act as a guide to students and practitioners on the Equal Status Acts 2000–2011 and is designed to illustrate how Ireland’s main anti-discrimination laws operate in practice. It explains the types of actions or omissions that amount to discrimination, examines relevant case law and looks at how the Acts are enforced. Work on the book was completed in 2011 and it will shortly be published by Blackhall Publishing.

The project’s aim is to generate new knowledge about how the legislation works in practice, identify aspects of the law that are working well and highlight problem areas.
