Step 6. Submitting your report to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights
• Establish a national commission for gender equality When you have finished preparing your report, you will need to send it to the OHCHR. As with the format of the submission, there are strict rules to be followed when submitting your report.
• Incorporate the principle of equality between women and men into the Constitution • Provide human rights education and training to police officers, corrections officers and judicial staff aimed at the protection of women, persons of minority sexual orientation and gender identity and national minorities
• The report must be submitted to the OHCHR on or before the deadline. There are no exceptions. Check the deadlines for submission at least eight months before your country will be reviewed www.ohchr.org
• Repeal the provisions of the criminal code that criminalize women who have abortions
• Reports must be sent by email to uprsubmissions@ohchr.org
