This is your guide to the International Order of the Golden Rule, its members, programs, products and services. We’ve designed it to help you – one of OGR’s independent funeral home members – take advantage of the services and benefits available through OGR membership. This year’s Resource Guide has been reformatted to ensure you find what you need quickly and easily. State maps identify members' proximities to each other.
Networking First and foremost, members can utilize the Membership Roster section of the guide to connect with other members across the street, or across the country. Names are cross-referenced by name, location and facility attributes. Rosters of Auxiliary, Emeritus, Educator and Student members are also included.
Identify main firms, on-site crematories Symbols in the Membership Roster alongside the funeral home name help you determine main firm members and members with on-site crematories. This icon M represents main firms and this icon C refers to members with crematories on the premises.
Golden Rule Standards Of Ethical Conduct The Standards of Ethical Conduct and Shipping Standards in the front of the guide are published for your reference or to refer to when meeting with a client family, staff member, colleague or fellow member.
Leadership Directory Leadership listings of the Board of Directors, Regional Chairpersons and committee members make it easy to get in touch with OGR’s volunteer leaders.
Member Resources The Resources section describes your member benefits by breaking them into user-based sub-sections: Member Services, Staying Informed, Identity/Outreach, Learning Opportunities and Recognition Programs.
