Something fishy!

Sveta Nedelja. A rare chance to try local fish specialities in the Zagreb region; the carp that feature in Sveta Nedelja’s Fišijada are caught in the Rakitje lake. The fish are caught and prepared in cauldrons on the lakeshore by the members of the local fishing club. A Millennium of Cookery

The Žumberak and Samobor Highlands Nature Park. The Žumberak and Samobor Highlands Nature Park is a stunning area of serrated woody hills to the west of Zagreb. Human habitation here stretches back to the Celts. The workshop “Tisućljeća kulinarstva” (“A Millennium of Cookery”) explores a thousand years of cookery, featuring highly original recipes and healthy ingredients.
