Exciting competition and outstanding performances were the features of the FIS Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships in Valmalenco (ITA) from 21st-25th March, which wrapped up the FIS Freestyle Skiing 2012/13 season.

The best 264 young skiers from 30 nations gathered for the second year in a row in the picturesque mountain resort. Over the course of the week, well-known faces, several already competing in the World Cup, as well as up-and-coming talents from five continents, showcased their skills in the battle for a total of 36 medals. There were competitions in aerials, moguls, dual moguls, ski cross, halfpipe and slopestyle for the best young Freestyle skiers born between 1992 and 1996. The most successful country was the United States, with Keaton McCargo and Thomas Rowley bringing home a total of three gold medals. At her maiden Junior Worlds, McCargo was the only athlete to win gold medals in both moguls and dual moguls.
