It’s been a time of transition with Pompey balancing the books and the first team squad almost unrecognisable from the one which started the 08/09 season. If Pompey get in some new faces, particularly Stephen Hunt, Amir Zaki and Ross McCormack, then they could be looking at a decent campaign, but the loss of Campbell, Davis, Crouch and Johnson is a big one. It looks as though a tough scrap against relegation beckons, but the atmosphere at Fratton Park should mean a decent home record and will probably be enough to see us stay up. Estimated league position: 16th (optimistic!) League champions Chelsea FA Cup winners: Arsenal Carling Cup Winners: Aston Villa Nailed on to be relegated: Burnley Your key player: Krancjar James Turner Electronic Arts
