SPC Simple projector controllers The iKON AVS SPC series are cost effective, entry-level control interfaces for display devices, including LCD and DLP Projectors as well as LCD and Plasma displays. All SPC controllers feature an orange backlit power button with two or three green backlit input select buttons and a blue backlit picture blank button. On the SPC 6 and 7 two additional backlit buttons are provided for volume raise and lower. The controllers feature a bi-directional RS-232 interface for control of the display and two open collector outputs for the control of an electric screen via a SPC-PP1 or external relays. An input is provided for room occupancy detection, panel lockout or remote system shutdown. To program the unit it is only necessary to download a library module for complete control over the display, although full control over input selection, warm up and cool down times is provided. The installer can also set up a four-button sequence to lock and unlock the panel's operation. The SPC series are fabricated on a 50 mm Euro module allowing their use in a wide range of wall panels in UK, European and NZ formats. This format also allows the easy combining of control and input panels as well as use in the Ikon range of desk modules. Supplied complete with a UK white mounting frame.

SC-AMP Simple Control Amplifier The Simple Control Amplifier (SC-AMP) is the ideal audio video solution for small and medium size rooms. Cost effective and offering energy saving opportunities, it is also easy to specify and simple to install. The SC-AMP is a combined entry-level projector or display controller, a 20 watt stereo amplifier and convenient laptop connection or laptop and USB connection. All on a two-gang white metal panel that fits a standard 35mm UK back box. Although it can be easily programmed, the SC-AMP can be supplied pre-programmed for your choice of display. Featuring automatic shut-down to save power and panel lock-out to prevent unauthorised use, the amplifier can also be used on its own when the projector isn’t required. Simply plug an audio source into the 3.5mm jack on the front and it will automatically turn on the amplifier. The internal stereo amplifier is an 86% efficient class D design with a RMS output of 10 watts per channel into 8 Ohms. It is fitted with screw terminals for power, speakers and inputs on the rear for permanent connections and a 3.5mm stereo jack on the front panel.

iCS-10 Integrated control system The iCS-10 incorporates a fully configurable control system along with routers to handle XVGA, Component video, Composite video and ten channels of audio. There is also a microphone input as well as both front and rear expansion slots. The iCS-10 provides: 4 into 1+1 XVGA & Component video switch 4 into 1+1 Composite video switch 10 into 1 stereo audio switch with a master volume control and balanced outputs Microphone input with both local and remote mute 2 x Bi-directional RS232 serial ports Motorised screen, projector lift and power control Room occupancy support Projector control PodNet to communicate with other Ikon Podules Designed for the installation market, the iCS-10 offers a versatile combination of facilities and control options allowing its use as a stand alone switch / controller or use it with Octo, Wall or Touch Podules. It can also be controlled by third party panels using one RS232 port whilst retaining the display control function via the second RS232 port. The iCS-10 features bi-directional RS232 interfaces for control over the display and other peripheral equipment, therefore it allows handshaking to ensure synchronisation of the devices. The two open collector outputs can be used for the control of electric screens, projector lifts or projector power, whilst two contact inputs are provided for room occupancy shutdown, volume control or remote system shutdown.

Synergy Synergy range of controllers Extensive onboard facilities, quick and easy programming and simplicity of expansion and linking, are key benefits of this innovative range of controllers. A bi-directional RS232 port provides control over displays and other RS232 devices whilst IR ports supporting either single or dual emitters are provided for control of amplifiers, lighting and video players. RS232 and IR commands can be loaded from embedded libraries or user created files. Two outputs provide control of external relays and indicators and these can use the built-in screen, protector lift and power control routines, or they can be configured to operate other devices. Inputs are available for use with external buttons; either operating in parallel with the panel or as extra buttons. They can also be used for room occupancy detection with a PIR, or used to remotely shut the system down. The Syn-Link port provides linking of panels in multi-room systems, connection to Synergy peripherals or RS232 port to control other equipment. Using the Syn-Link port, panels can be linked as either Master / Slave, Slave / Master or Dual Master configurations with no software overheads or additional programming. This port is also used to connect the AU4 series of audio controllers, again with simple tick box programming. The Syn-Link port can also be used to connect the Synergy panel to a PC enabling two way control. Synergy panels all fit a standard depth UK back box and are provided with detachable screw terminals for ease of installation.

AU4 Audio controller The AU4 is a serial controlled four input audio switcher and volume control. It also provides a microphone input, which is mixed with the program audio. The AU4 audio controller is available in two versions: provides line level outputs on RCA sockets. AU4L as the AU4L but also incorporates a 20 watt per channel amplifier. AU4P The microphone input has switchable phantom power and a selectable hi-pass filter. It also has its own level control and EQ. The microphone is mixed with the program audio after the remote volume facility and the microphone can be turned on and off either remotely via the Synergy panel, or using a push button connected to terminals on the audio controller. When an input is selected the volume can be adjusted with any change stored against the input. Dip switches on the rear of the unit allow either full range (+15 to –48dB ) or limited range (+15dB to –15dB), The default level can also be set as fixed (0dB), or retaining the last setting. The AU4 is designed to operate in conjunction with either the Synergy or SPC controllers but can also be used as a stand-alone RS232 controlled audio system.

Matrix 2 Audio routing system Use as the heart of a distributed audio system, as the router for a multi room system or as part of a complex boardroom system, the iKON Matrix 2 Podule offers an easily controlled and configured central stereo audio processor with individual level control of each output. It is also ideally suited for multiroom audio and headphone distribution system when used with the remote panels. Inputs are unbalanced via 3.5 mm stereo jacks; whilst all the outputs are balanced and share individual RJ45 sockets with control and DC power, allowing a single Cat5 cable between the Matrix 2 and its remote outlets and control panels.

SGA-40 & DPA-40 Amplifiers The SGA-40 and DPA-40 are the ideal audio video solution for small and medium size rooms, offering cost effective and energy saving opportunities, they are easy to specify and simple to install. Both amplifiers are 20 watt per channel stereo wall and dado mounting. They are ideal for multi-room audio, classroom, hotel bedroom and small meeting room applications. They use an 86% efficient class D design and have a RMS output of 20 watts per channel into 8 Ohms when powered from an 15V power supply or 10 watts when powered by the included 12V power supply, and as most quality loudspeakers are 8 Ohms, maximum efficiency is assured. Additionally the amplifiers adopt an ultra low power standby state when no signal is present. The SGA-40 is manufactured in the 50mm euro format and supplied complete with a UK size white mounting frame. Alternative frames are available in a wide range of finishes from iKON AVS as well as other reputable switch plate manufacturers. The SGA-40 fits a standard UK single back box and requires only a 35mm depth. It will also fit the single DIN back box. It is fitted with two rear inputs on screw terminals for permanent connections and two 3.5mm stereo jacks on the front panel for other sources. The DPA-40 is manufactured on a twin gang steel plate where ultimate durability is required. The DPA-40 fits a UK back box and requires only a 35mm depth. It is fitted with screw terminals for speakers and inputs on the rear and a 3.5mm stereo jack on the front panel for other sources. Additionally the amplifier has remote shutdown ability adopting an ultra low power standby state.

Desk Access Connection panels For use with the iKON AVS Euro Panels, Euro Podules, SPC controllers and SGA-40 amplifiers, this range of desk access modules enables their use in or on desks and cabinets.
RDM-6H Flip top horizontal Desk Access Module supplied in a black and silver finish. Constructed from an aluminium extrusion it has 150mm of available space for 6 x 25mm or 3 x 50mm Euro Panels. Select your requirements from our extensive range of Euro Panels to suit your application. It is supplied complete with a 13A socket* and a fixed 2m mains cable. For mounting only a 324mm x 133mm cut out is required.
RDM-6V Slide out vertical tower that has 150mm of available space for 6 x 25mm or 3 x 50mm Euro Panels. Select your requirements from our extensive range of Euro Panels to suit your application. Constructed from an aluminium extrusion with a moulded top cover, it is supplied complete with a 13A socket* and a fixed 2m mains cable. For mounting, only a single 80mm diameter hole is required. Overall diameter is 104mm and the RDM-6V extends 215mm above the desk. It is rated to IP54 when closed

Floor Box Panels Connection panels Quick and easy to install floor box panels in both flat and angled versions and designed to fit most Crabtree, Britmac, Powerplan and MK floor boxes. Other sizes are available.
The AFB range has been designed with a recess to make connecting easier and have a flush finish when installed. The PC versions all have screw terminals for both VGA and Audio to eliminate the need for soldered connections on site whilst the HDMi, Displayport and DVI versions utilise angled back to back connections for use with pre-made cables.

Podules Podule controllers A range of innovative control interfaces providing easily programmed control for dedicated applications. Each Podule can be used as a separate intelligent controller or as part of a more complex system, formed by connecting several Podules together with low cost CAT5 cabling.
Whilst hard to believe, not all system requirements can be met from out standard range of products. For the more demanding and unusual requirements we have a range of control and interface products specifically engineered for these situations.
As each Podule is “intelligent� a system can start with a single Podule and then extra units can be added to create a system using this distributed processing to create diverse control applications making the Podule ideal for mission critical systems. Systems can be installer programmed using the supplied software or, using our low-cost programming service, they can be shipped pre-programmed for your application.

The iKON AVS DAI mk4 is a fibre-optic audio distribution system for critical systems. It uses dual, continuously monitored redundant fibre rings. If a fault is discovered the signal path is automatically rerouted through the remaining operation fibres. Inputs and outputs are balanced line level. The control port supports selective paging and channel routing as well as allowing the connection of a single RS232/RS422/RS485 data channel with a maximum baud rate of 38,400 carried transparently over the same network as the audio.
