Ibiza was the haunt of authentic characters who believed in the principle of 'live and let live' and of not ripping other people off. The Via2 gallery houses a wonderful exhibition which gets to grips with the myth of Ibiza and its writers. Selected texts from the romantic revolutionary Blasco Ibáñez are on display as well as works by Elliot Paul, Walter Benjamin, Rafael Alberti and María Teresa León. The likes of Raoul Hausmann, Fernando Guillermo de Castro, Rafael Azcona, Ignacio Aldecoa, Josep Pla and Norman Lewis are immortalised in words here along with Émile Cioran, Leopoldo Panero, Pedro Zarraluqui, Guillermo Diaz Plaja, Antonio Colinas, Claudio Rodríguez and Carlos Bousoño. Extracts from each writer's works are supplemented by fantastic photos from the era in which their creative work was based, pictures that bring back to life an idyllic Ibiza of old.
