With regard to Gelman's poetry, both the essayist Eduardo Millán and the writer Antonio Gamoneda speak of the way he makes use of new rhetorical resources. In answer to my question as to whether he has created a new language, he replies modestly: "Look, the only thing that I have done is to fight a running battle with language".
