Football Meetina A gathering of the E-R AU football big hrasa plus representatives from each t6am met last m e s day to discuss the hruaality which has been a characteristic of ocr. flag football league. Rules have been changed every year since flag because football began the need to protect partwas evident. icipants Kickoffs were eliminated because parts of people'e bodies seemed to break mare frequently under these conditions. cross body blocks and throwing forearms vere strictly forbidden as knees twist. ed and jaws vere broken. BY^ even as new rules were innovated and certain dangercvo parta of the game vere removed, we noticed the injuries were Still present. So the meeting was called to try to do Bomething about the problem.

On August 30th. coach ~ o corman b was looking for a football team since the Vets Club disw n e d him. me came up with a group of gentlemen allegedly called the dirty dozen. The nickn m was not meant to be derrogatory since the Coyotea are a fine team. Their record does not indicate their ability since they have pel-

formed well but were scheduled against some of the top teams in the first half of the e e a I o a Presently they have 1 win and 3 lasses, but they should do well against their remaining opponents. Due to a regrouping of their material, they have put together one of the finest defenses, and the Coyotes prcmise that there will be no more points scored upon then this seaeon.

suggestions made and aleo some bad ones. under some of the bad suggestions, which vere nut too 9raciously accepted, the game would not have been called football anymore. More appropriately, we could nave called it Pansyhall, and let the girls play. The good suggestions were that we use mouth guards, which is not mandatory hut e gocd idea. Another good suggestion Wa6 that we leave the game undhanged for this Year and make the necessary ohanges next year. SO. we still have our football the way we like it, and we who participats realize the dangers of the game as we realize the dangers of getting out o f bed everyday. We should be able to enjoy the game as it was meant to be played. clean and rough, or as an alternative, very simply, just don't play.
