had the extraordinary luck to met a very talented photographer lady at Hilton Hua Hin’s lift lobby. She has won few international awards and I thought you would love her pictures. he end of April has left many of us feeling a bit tired and hot. The month of April went by really fast, probably because of the long weekend of Songkran, which as always exceeded our expectations. We have now entered the low season leaving the City slightly quieter during the week. However, we are very lucky that due to our close proximity to Bangkok many visitors come from the big City during the weekends. Businesses are gearing up to take advantage of the spending of these visitors. Hua Hin Today is doing it’s part by offering Classified Ads for as low as 400 THB per month to smaller businesses to bring new clients to their door. Hua Hin Today team also likes to attend SKAL meetings. SKAL International is a global professional organization for travel & tourism leaders. Hua Hin has its own section of SKAL International that has lunch get together for members and non members alike. SKAL is currently out to attract more representatives from the travel and tourism fraternity to join our SKAL Hua Hin & Cha Am organization. Also Young SKAL in Hua Hin offers tourism and hospitality students a chance to take part to meet with more senior professionals. SKAL Hua Hin’s President is our own Michael Schmitt the General Manager of Hilton Hua Hin. The Vice President is Sammy Carolus GM of Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, in charge of events Brian Anderson from Chiva-Som plus he is the President of Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin, Peter Kirketerp owner of Mondo Vino is Treasurer, Khun Thanaporn Kositchaiwat owner of G Hua Hin is in charge of the website and our own previous editor Jerry Mosselman is in charge of P &R and Media. So you see you will be in good company if you are n the tourism & hospitality business. Raluek is a nice place that showcases Hua Hin’s history and architecture. Of course they also have great food. The Hua Hin Today team is sad to say goodbye to Khun Ning our Assistant to the Editor.
